The Awoken is a nullsec corporation looking for players of all experience levels. We offer a wide range of PvP and PvE opportunities in our notch-above-casual routine with Sigma Grindset. Come enjoy regular fleets, ship replacement for doctrine-fit PvP losses, a buyback program for ratting loots and mining goods, and more. We are most active in USTZ evenings.
Members must:
- Be 18+ or older.
- Be able to communicate in English.
- Have a mic.
- Be willing to download Mumble and Discord. You will be required to set up several channels on Mumble and join both a corp and alliance server on Discord as part of onboarding.
- Pass a game-related character background check to ensure your character is in good standing with The Imperium (our coalition), Sigma Grindset (our alliance), and The Awoken (our corp).
Check out our official corporation trailer on YouTube, made from footage taken on our actual fleets.

The Awoken is still recruiting. We’re most active around 0100 EVE, so that’s a good time to drop into our public Discord channel to get to know us. Let us know what your favorite things to do in EVE are, and that’ll be a good start to getting you on that path in nullsec.
Good morning! The Awoken is still recruiting players of all experience levels for our nullsec corporation. There’s plenty of PvP opportunities around the clock within our alliance–Sigma Grindset–but we also have regular PvE fleets, like the one we did last night. Our mining fleets will plow through an asteroid field and split the value of the minerals between all the participants, so we each get a payout. It’s a great way to make ISK and socialize with your corpmates on comms.
Sigma Grindset currently doesn’t track fleet participation the way some other alliances do, but The Awoken does have a Fleet Incentives program. We have ways of tracking your fleet participation, with prizes rewarded for certain benchmarks. Drop into our public Discord channel to find out more!
On Friday nights, The Awoken hosts Frigate Friday, a roaming fleet for newbros and veterans alike. The name is a touch misleading, but “Destroyers or Smaller Friday” just doesn’t have that alliterative zing. The idea is to put together something of a kitchen sink fleet and roam around through our local neighborhood or a few wormholes until we either find a fight, or we’ve been out for a couple hours with nothin’ doin’.
Frigate Friday is a good way to learn how we do fleets, how to follow commands, think on your feet, navigate your own ship with a fleet, find enemies, and engage them. We also offer ship replacement through our SRP program, which is something like an extra insurance on top of what’s available in game. When you apply for SRP, you get a payment for the value of your ship’s hull, which helps to soften the blow of PvP losses–especially since we tend to go out in a blaze of glory on Friday nights.

One of the bigger sticking points for new recruits is the background check we perform on our prospects. It sounds more ominous than it is, really. In EVE Online, scamming and espionage are allowed. If you give your ISK to someone who promises to double it, you can’t complain to CCP and get your ISK back when the “doubler” runs off with your wallet. Similarly, a corp might send a spy into the ranks of its enemies, and if he can earn their trust, that’s their fault if they promote him to a high rank and give him access to corp or alliance assets.
To help weed out spies in our ranks, we perform background checks to see if a character’s name is a known associate of an established spy. For that, we have a blacklist of spies and other troublemakers we no longer allow among us. Players also “auth” their characters, giving leadership the authority to see a character’s in-game emails, wallet transactions, contracts, and personal assets. At no point is anything about the player behind the character revealed; leadership can’t see your name, location, etc. unless you put in an in-game email or as part of a contract description, ship name, or something like that.
Being able to see this information helps leadership to root out spies and other liars in our midst, and hopefully prevent them from joining before they do any damage. It’s one way in which we keep our corpmates and alliance members safe.
If you have any questions about background checks or just want to find out more about us, feel free to drop into our public Discord.
Just as a reminder, The Awoken is still recruiting new and veteran players from all around the world. We currently have a strong presence in the United States and Canada, with some members in Europe and Asia as well. We’d love to have members from around the world, though most of us are on around 0100 EVE time, in the US evenings.
If you’re on during that time or you’re okay with playing during our quieter hours, we’d be glad to have you. Check out our public Discord server for more information and see if we’re the right fit for you.
Last night, one of our senior officers took us out for a ratting fleet. It was the first one we’ve done since moving into our new space, but it’s something we’d definitely like to make into a feature. The idea is to train our newbros in ratting, and regardless of a player’s experience, give them a chance to get acquainted with their corpmates while making ISK. It was a good time, and we’re all a little richer for it!
ISK is often a concern for players consistently engaged in PvP, and in The Awoken, there’s a steady stream of PvP opportunities around the clock. Funding your combat habit is easy, though, thanks to our corp buyback program. Whether mining, ratting, or exploring, the corp will buy most of what you collect, minus a few things that simply don’t sell well and can’t be reprocessed into something more beneficial.
The Awoken is still recruiting players of all experience levels to join us. We have an active industry park in our space for creating, refining, copying, and researching. Feel free to drop into our public Discord channel and ask us about any specifics you’re interested in, and see if we’re the right fit for you.
There are some who say war is the boiling point of all our efforts in EVE Online. All the PvE, the mining, looting, salvaging, industry, exploration, and even the small skirmishes with other players is preparation and practice for those massive battles when everything is on the line.
And war is on our doorstep.
Once again we’re in a position where we have to defend our space, and it’s all hands on deck. Within The Awoken, we are requiring each player to commit to three PvP fleets a month–a very easy achievement for even the most casual among us. Of course, we would like our players to do more. If you can commit to ten or more PvP fleets a month, that would be phenomenal, but we only require three.
For the foreseeable future, The Awoken is on a war footing, but we welcome new recruits with any level of experience to join us in the fight alongside our brothers in Sigma Grindset. Even if this is your first day in New Eden, we can guide and shape you into the sort of pilot you want to be, and find a place for you among us.

Over the weekend, The Awoken joined our brothers and sisters in what turned out to be a seven-hour battle in Ti-Di Hell. We tried anchoring a Keepstar in enemy space, and–surprise of surprises–they took offense.
What followed was a slow-motion feedfest between Goons and Pandemic Horde. Even as time plowed on in something near stop-motion, it was a good time to socialize with our alliancemates. That, and if there was ever a reason to multibox, Ti-Di is it. Spinning Ishtars while waiting for you and the three thousand other characters in system with you to lock on something and fire is not the worst idea in the world.
In the end, we lost the Keepstar, but we made them work for it. We also had some unfortunately large losses that could have been avoided; if they had been avoided, we could have at least killed as much ISK as we lost, if not come out ISK positive.
Regardless, it was a good fight and good fun, as my friend @krimletch reports:
If you’d like to get in on the action, come by The Awoken Discord server today to find out more!
Just as in other MMOs, EVE Online has activities that make money, and activities that cost money. Every new player needs to make money, but depending on what you want to do, that can be easier said than done as a newbro. Thankfully, in The Awoken, our training program is designed to develop your ISK-making skills while also training up those essential skills for PvP. We give your sweet, ISK-making goodness, with your PvP-nutrients tucked in.
We don’t promise you’ll get rich quick, but billions in ISK are easier to make in nullsec. With the risk comes reward. If you’d like to know more, drop into our public Discord channel. Be sure to let us know how you found us, too!
Benefits of joining The Awoken include:
- An active playerbase from 0100 EVE to about 0500 EVE.
- R64 moons to be mined, with reasonable taxes.
- Very light PvP fleet expectations, with nearly constant PvP content alongside our alliance.
- Handouts for our newest newbros for ratting and mining.
- A training program that lets you train PvP skills alongside ISK-making skills.
- An aggressive alliance that loves to defend their space.
- Comms and standing fleet to assist you when you’re tackled in something shiny.
- Free, max-yield reprocessing for your first 30 days in corp, and nearly at-cost pricing afterward.
- PvP training fleets every Friday in frigates and destroyers.
- Mining fleets every Wednesday for making ISK and socializing (may be postponed for alliance-level PvP fleets as needed).
- Our own industry park for researching, copying, and manufacture.
Come see us in our Public Discord and find out if we’re the right fit for you!
If all goes as planned today, we’ll be going on a frigate roam tonight. We call it “Frigate Friday,” though it’s really open to destroyers as well. The idea is to fleet up and wander around until we find ourselves a fight. In the process, we teach newbros how to follow fleet commands, look at broadcasts, use D-scan, and we get to know one another on comms. It’s a nice, casual fleet, and you could be there!

Have you seen @krimletch’s videos? He’s the one who did our recruitment video, and he often does other videos for our battles. We’re proud to call him one of The Awoken, and glad to have him putting his talents to use for us. Come check out his recruitment video in our public Discord, and check out his YouTube channel.
The Awoken has, at various times, hosted members from every continent except for Antarctica. Currently, we have people in North America, Europe, and Asia. We’d certainly like to increase our players across the different time zones, but that means we need people who rather often are comfortable playing by themselves.
We’re always open to everyone, but today I’d like veteran players from across the globe to consider whether or not The Awoken is right for them. As members of Sigma Alliance, no one in our corp will ever want for content, but training newbros in our non-peak hours can be difficult, which is the only reason I’m reaching out to the veterans today.
The Awoken is still actively looking for veterans and newbros to join us in nullsec. We have a training program for newbros that allows them to make ISK at the same time as they train the doctrine ships.
We only require three combat fleets per month in our corp, though of course we’d love for people to do more. For the first 60 days, though, newbros are exempt as they build up their wallets and skills.
Come drop into our public Discord channel and let us know if you have any questions.
Last night’s mining fleet was a resounding success, even as we’ve been bearing the pressure of more neutrals in our space than before. Whether you’re looking for PvP or ISK-making content, we’ve got a little something for most here in nullsec.
Come check out The Awoken and see if we’re the right corp for you!
It’s Friday for most of us in The Awoken, which means it’s Frigate Friday! Technically, it’ll be Saturday in-game by the time our fleet gets going, and it’s technically frigates and destroyers, but that just gets confusing.
Let’s make it simple: drop into our public Discord channel before midnight EVE time, and maybe you could join The Awoken in time to fleet up with us and go looking for a fight. Frigate Friday is a chill, kitchen sink welp fleet. We’re going to roam for two hours or so, looking for a fight to die in a blaze of glory.
