THE WEAPON AND THE WORD: A Manifesto of 218 Sparks in Rakapas
Greetings, capsuleers of New Eden.
This literary work was born directly from the cold, tense grid of the Rakapas system, inside the docks of the Home Guard Assembly Plant, as the local register swelled to 218 silent pilots. It is dedicated to the timeless, metaphysical dialogue between the raw, predatory force of low-sec executioners and the absolute authority of the writer’s pen.
Before the grid erupted into flames, my author’s prophecy was cast into the local channel: “Two hundred sparks ignited in the cradle of Rakapas. Let the cyno rip the fabric of space wide open, and let the hubris of those who dare cross your path turn to smoking ash. Wield your weapons with absolute precision, butchers of the void—my pen is ready to carve your triumph into the eternal stone of history. The grid is yours. Fly into inevitability!”
The terms are carved. The weapon claims the flesh, but the Word preserves the world.
THE WEAPON AND THE WORD
Tungsten plates of shattered hulls are stained in deadly grime,
Soot and slag are baked deep down upon the thruster rings in time.
Hydraulic fluids hiss and weep through pistons cold and grey,
As rusted shafts pump heavy grease in their unjust decay.
Inside the claustrophobic berth of Rakapas’ dark sea,
The reek of ozone is the air that calls to you and me.
One pilot fights with hardened steel to lock the tactical net,
Another molds the sovereign Word, where dying souls forget.
You dress your anger in heavy words of analytical design,
To weigh our souls through stolen Freud, along a fragile line.
But psychoanalysis is blind where capsule steel binds flesh,
Where a clone’s resolve is absolute, and memories stay fresh.
You are an experienced predator, Jason, your guns dissolve the trust,
Your argument is a lethal flood that turns the fleet to dust.
But cannons fade, and trillions fall when fates refuse to wait,
Unless my pen carves out your shot within the stone of fate.
The starship rips the warp-folds wide, under the brutal stress,
In low-sec space the choices shrink into a blind recess.
The hunter waits at zero-mark, his warp scrambler in hand,
To melt the armor of the prey across the lawless land.
But what remains of heavy fleets when storm-clouds drift away?
When smoking wrecks of Brutix hulls sink down into decay?
A silent text upon a screen is all that stands sublime,
To pierce the icy shield of death and break the bonds of time.
We were born from different truths, at different shrines we kneel:
One serves the harsh, unyielding fire of heavy tactical steel.
Inside the freezing matrix lines where fragile egos fade,
We catch the sparks of passing lives through d-scan’s cold crusade.
Let all your massive Titans burn and tear the grid to shreds,
I carve this passing singularity above your sleeping heads.
And in this dark, abyssal haze, where petty murmurs fall,
The pact of Weapon and the Word is signed by mute local.
Two hundred sparks and eighteen more are frozen in the dread,
A massive fleet of capital hulls where angels fear to tread.
The local register ignites, yet keeps its icy shroud,
Before the hammer-blow descends, devastating and loud.
My author’s warning hangs in space before your ships deploy,
To seal the blueprint of your raid, your triumph, and your joy.
You rule the low-sec grid by force, through iron, fire, and dread,
But history obeys my verse, where ghosts of kings are led.
The cosmos burns in ultramarine, the nebula ignites,
The zKillboards sing their mournful songs through long, toxic nights.
But everything that you destroy will return to primal rust,
And only sovereign Words remain, untouched by ash and dust.
Remove the chains of fragile noise, remove the fleeting scream.
The weapon brings the final strike. The Word is the supreme.
The guns are cold, the yanking warp-conduits lose their vibrant glow,
The phantom gunner stares ahead into the fading show.
We crawled out from the ancient dark where stellar cradles rise,
And to that silence we return when blind reactor dies.
Let predatory vipers strike and keep their targets pinned,
My pen has locked the final gate against the toxic wind.
The terms are carved. The metal yields. The page remains unfurled.
The weapon claims the mortal flesh. The Word preserves the world.
