Pay to Win threads are just about as bad as, Free to Play complaints. They both are oxymorons. Obviously nothing is really “free” and there will always be others who define and redefine those definitions. Even when you have free games they will most likely have an item mall to buy buffs and cosmetics for the game. Guild Wars was the first game I recall that didn’t charge a subscription, as WoW and other online games back then, they called it buy to play. Today GW2 is called free to play with an option to buy and the new game has an item mall and paid game currency. Pay to win, is just another term used and abused to describe these systems.
Before the internet exploded with all these online games, people were selling trial games called Shareware. Shareware meant you were free to make copies of the demo and pass them off to your friends. It never said the entire game was free.
True freedom only exists when you are alone and isolated on a desert island. As soon as you add one other person, they start making up rules and laws, and tell you to stop wiping your butt with the coconuts.

Was there ever a time in Eve you couldn’t use plex for isk? I sure as hell don’t remember one. Jack and Joe will both have to deal with a suicide gank blowing their ■■■■ up regardless. Then we can see if the guy paying real money vs the guy grinding isk is the more likely to quit.

Alpha is not the full game experience. I left the game in 2011 and came back this week. I can’t fly half my fleet or use a lot of fittings/weapons because they all require an Omega subscription.

/As it currently stands today or yesterday and the few years before I will never need to open my RL wallet again. Unless of course they sell me Princess Aiko frozen corpse on the Store .
I know it’s dumb to think that but seriously the amount of isk that is thrown our way is far too high to vet think EveOnline is pay to win. Even looking back at the times. Paid for plex with RL funds are o invest in the Regional Market.
I think there is a saying buy high sell low… yeah I know how to trade.

You know how to push m buttons allow me in o duel you with my other pilot and if you win you can have your 5 billion a month instead of the current fee

It is the full experience. You can do every activity an Omega can do. You are just limited in the tools that you can use for the activities and how deep you can dive into the activities. Other than that Alpha state allows you to do whatever you want.
