It moves randomly and some of the debuffs are violent enough to get your ship killed. You don’t want to find your exploration Astero in a bubbled gatecamp within a ‘no cloaking’ storm.
I remember once when our alliance was trying to invade Pure Blind that one such storm lingered in the area and really hindered our ability to do our bomber stuff for days.
Read what you just wrote, replacing the term “space weather” with “gankers”. Go ahead, let it sink in. Players still log on and mine, even with the constant threat of gankers. Would be no different with space weather. If your favorite asteroid belt or ice anomaly is currently experiencing violent space weather, move over to the next one…
No different than finally being able to log in and there is a Sansha Incursion in your mining sytem, or a Blood Raider FOB. You just have to find another system or ice anom until the Incursion is over or someone kills the FOB.
You don’t seem very adaptive? I change clothing according to the weather. Or move 1307 miles away from where I grew up so I could have bikinis on the beach 365.
