Unknown wormhole beacons should have a warning

You were in null there. If I was in null, I would’ve taken my loss. But not in high sec where every other rat that has a warning is easy

Get over it

Yes exactly they are moving the game away from this.

I think their official new player FAQ explicitly says you should not expect any ship to be a one size fits all pwnmobile.

The difference between high sec and any other space is that high sec has more „laws“ than those other areas of space, „laws“ which are designed to be broken by players.

Assuming anything else about high sec is setting yourself up for disappointment.

I would recommend learning how the directional scanner works.

It can alert you to threats prior to warping on grid and getting killed.

Works for PvE and PvP threats.

Do you need an example of a veteran dying in high sec to drifters? Your 2B is peanuts.

That has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with my death. If I were you I would have wanted a message warning me there would be drifters there.

This killmail isn’t me. This dude’s death is exactly like your death:

  • :white_check_mark: In high sec
  • :white_check_mark: By a drifter
  • :white_check_mark: Billions lost
  • :white_check_mark: Drifter WH in system

With one key difference: you don’t have to be warped to an unidentified WH to get killed. These drifters roam the entire system so long as an “Unidentified Wormhole” is on your overview. A pop-up wouldn’t have stopped you from dying because warping to the WH isn’t the only dangerous part, merely being in the same system as one is.

This guy just happened to jump into the high sec system, and a drifter happened to also be visiting that gate with a drifter WH in the system. Boom, dead. You’d need a popup every time you jump a gate in high sec asking " :warning: are you sure, there could be drifter battleships on the other side :warning: ". And not just high sec gates, but every gate just in case.

Let’s be honest every player including you would click “don’t show me again” and never think about it again.

Wrong. There could be a simple “This system has drifters roaming the area” In the gate just like triglavians and edencom. I have positive standing with both and I still have the messages pop up everytime

Wrong. There exists no such pop up based system determined by wormholes nor cosmic anomalies because they are a temporal system. Existing popups for Trigs and Edencom and „danger lowsec“ exist only for static predefined properties off of stable unchanging systems.

Wrong. Trigs are not static.

Trig minor victory systems are and they always have a popup unless the player chooses to suppress it.

Look man if you’re still this combative and upset about a ship loss a week later, I don’t know what to tell you.

There’s not much more constructive discussion to be had. Just gonna bow out.

Whenever I come across a coffee cup IRL that says „ :warning: WARNING: Contents may be hot“ or similar you’ll be in my thoughts and prayers.

It’s not really about the ship it’s about the warning. I want a warning for drifters.

no

there’s also no warning if you engage the auto.lancer cruisers .
returning from a lvl4 mission , i attack 3 such npc on a gate . tanked them easily , killed one the other two warp off . then the drifter bs warps in and one-shot my navy raven to deep hull .
my hands were shaking as i realize i almost lost 2+ bill. money maker and left half that sitting in a wreck on a gate .
and i say to myself “wtf were you thinking , arsing around with expensive fit ship” …
you might ask yourself the same thing …

Given that you don’t know what diamond rats are you may want to rethink that kind of attitude. Although, given your responses so far, you don’t seem like much of rethinking kind of dude.

This was not on a gate. It was on a beacon. So… like EVERY OTHER THING in hi sec i want a popup message for unknown wormholes.

You’re an idiot. Stop replying to this if you have nothing remotely NOT stupid to say.

You want a popup but its never been needed before. Hell before trigs we’ve never needed popups
