I converted perfectly well into not needing to care due to a planned ahead coreless station which is placed near other cored stations. I am that small organisation and Im doing just fine without these filthy crappy cores.
All the structure popping up in my region of space beg to differ. I see plenty of 1 to 10 man corp putting up ratiarus.
People with grandfather structures donāt need to worry about cores if all they do is manufacture or whatever. And new ones that now need a core is just part of the costs of doing business.
Come to Australia and find your opinion on drones reversing.
Just make cores mandatory for the reinforcement timer to complete. Spin off repair, tethering and refit to a separate module. And make it charge the person getting repaired ISK like an NPC station.
That would also fix this little bug

Structures were designed from the outset to be an ISK sink. Everyone but the large groups are running around deploying the damn things like candy just because they want one with their banner on it.
Would love to see the MER split out ore mined vs ice.
Cores have an extremely low impact on sinking, specifically; they arent, you just sink sales tax.
What I mean is structures donāt make ISK in the same way POS towers that piped out moon ore every hour did, or how stations were able to build 24/7 without needing a single block of fuel. The base cost has gone up considerably, but the return isnāt much better. Its not like the tax generated outside of TTT citadels amounts enough to cover running costs.
OK, but the actual cost of running a station hasnt changed. For a Raitaru its a pittance in fuel and your service modules for your own use are where you make any cost back, not services to the public.

Any new structure being anchored after Oct 13,2020 requires a core for it to get past the Onlining part of the anchoring process. He is not discussing any other structure, like yours that was anchored before that date.
