From today’s patchnotes:
Changed the header in Courier Contracts to only have 1 decimal.
@CCP_karkur This is a step in the right direction, but it is not helping anyone and it certainly does not fix the DST volume scams. As you can see in the following screenshot, this contract still says it is perfectly viable for a DST. Only the tiny volume warning (that does not take the fleet hangar into account) says it does not. Furthermore, even within the contract window, the volume display is inconsistent as the second volume value does not show digits. Since this “change” does not do what the player suggestion demanded (indicated by the
) I do not see why it was implemented in this way. That’s a waste of dev time.
Furthermore, and I really dread to point this out, but the German and French language clients show 2 digits. They are the only clients that effectively prevent these scams by revealing all the information and not obfucsating them with ill-intent. I really hope that you take these clients as inspiration to fix this change properly.
The same contract. I do not have to use the Size Warning dialog window to check the actual volume and run the risk of accidentally accepting it because my tech or the EVE UI spasms.
I also do not understand the rationale to show 1 digit when, first of, the DE and FR clients show 2, and secondly, the volume warning also shows 2 digits. IT makes no sense not to use unified data in all places and instead laboriously and wastefully introduce a 3rd display option just for the sake of tricking and deceiving players.

Day after this report CCP does this:
What a disgraceful move, CCP. I noticed weeks ago that the German client lost its double-digit after comma value. Instead of making the client better for all, you have made it worse for everyone. And there’s not even a mentioning in the patch notes about this change, as this was clearly done well after the initial patch). This is so in-character for CCP. Users point out real issues, suggest a fix that improves the game for everyone, but CCP uses this information to go above and beyond to screw all users over and make the UI more deceptive and misleading. Way to go.
And to make this even funnier:
Your filters do not work to filter out the scams. All these 62500 m³ contracts are scams that use the horrible UI to trick people into accepting a contract that’s too large, even though they filtered out anything above that value.
CCP, you really are a something else for using community suggestions to sabotage the community.
