Want to buy / research attack drone BPO’s for PvE. I am Caldari. Seems most NPC
hostiles are weak on Thermal and EM. So debating on getting Light attack drone
that uses .5 drone hanger space and attacks with Thermal and EM. What other
ideas should I consider for long term. Asking about utility and or logistics
I do not want to buy BPO for every Drone. Understand a need for 1 mining
drone BPO and 1 salvage Drone BPO . I also understand shield repair and armor repair drones of different sizes. But at a loss on utility and durability of utilty
some do ecm donno what are most helpful and not too weak. Have not yet
done a level 1 mission. I might be thinking about logistic dones donno.
Here is current game plane: 2 light drone BPO for thermal and EM /
then the 2 BPO’s for medium drone thermal / EM and then later on get
the 2 BPO’s for heavy thermal and EM for a total of 6 BPO’s with 2 BPO
in each tier such as light / medium / heavy. Just do not understand
other types of helpful fighter drones.
In what space are you talking? do you have access to a manufacturing structure?
If the answers are HS and No, I wouldn’t recommend you manufacture your own Drones as it would very likely be cheaper to just buy off Trade Hub(s).
Pick a few of the drones you mentioned to start with, to get a feeling for how production of them works and how the market is for drones.
Then in the long term you can always buy and research more blueprints to produce more of them!
Don’t try to plan everything ahead but take one step (or a couple) at a time.
The drones I like using:
- acolyte (deals EM damage, I live in blood raider space who have an EM hole)
- warrior (are the fastest, nice for PvP)
- hornet EC-300 (for ewar, other ewar drones aren’t really popular due to diminishing returns)
- salvage drone (occasionally, but not very often and don’t lose them much either)
And the medium and large versions of the Amarr and Minmatar drones for the same reasons.
