Wardec Nerf incoming

No, just move every structure to a holding corp to get wardec immunity for everybody.

Bandaid, crude, but effective, will do for starters.

Strange thing, CCP ignored this problem for years, but now they rush with quick fix? Just after company was sold?

Good point Tipa,

With the December release, wars will only be declarable on corporations that own structures.

Will you still be able to war dec alliances? What happens if there are corps within an alliance that has no structure?

Not strange, the new man in charge after Seagull left is a “carebear” and his only focus is PvE. In the last 15 years, CCP was driven by the sandbox idea and with a clear PvP-focus. This is no more.

So I had correct feeling eventually.

We’ll have to wait for the structure panel today … atm I can see so many loopholes (good and bad ones), I doubt CCP has thought that through.

Not so much, activity tracker i think has them actually being able to look at data in a more detailed way; though im fairly sure a lot of data is subject to interpretation.
It is a fact that wars in hs have had a detrimental effect on the retention of new players for many a year; people like to make excuses like ‘herp derp but eves supposed to be hard’ or ‘omg carebears want evereefingg’ truth is it is a handful of people in hs wardeck corps, they do like to pick on newbros, they love making people quit, their scared of nullsec, lowsec and are generally HIGHLY risk averse and if they really thought eve was supposed to be hard and a pvp game they wouldnt be hiding in highsec picking on nubs and idiots that dont know any better.

I hope so too, as there won’t be a Fanfest in Iceland.

1:105 kill ratio? Check out Marmite and PIRAT’s killboards and tell me this number is true.

I hoped for a good change. There are so many ways to go around the proposed changes, I’m not worried a second.

To all who think war decs can easily be fixed, please be quiet, as they can’t.

They knew the metrics for years, but ignored it. Everything else would imply much greater incompetency than already seen.

When you simply disable decs against corps not holding structures, basically all low, null and WH corps (not holding assets in highsec) will become safe from wardecs.

Let’s wait for the details, and what level of abuse of this fix CCP is willing to accept.

yeh tying it to structures only is a poor ‘fix’ i must admit.

Wrong and wrong.

Elaborate?

If all structures are transferred to one man holder corps, none of the real corps will have assets anymore and are safe. Wardecs are meaningless for fighting outside highsec. Yeah I know, you can ninja transfer your own cheap structure before deccing…

transferring your structures to one man corps isnt wise…

Also wardeck outside of highsec are not meaningless, lowsec wardecks are a thing for example, and wardecking wormhole corps when evicting can also give you ample opportunity to shoot them if they try to evac or bring n reinforcements; course tying the system to structures…

It doesn’t matter how many people are in the holding corp, it’s just a shell. Important is, they don’t need to go to highsec ever.

how will they defend their structure?
it does depend largely on the entity type, that sort of abuse would suit wormhole corps for sure but i dont think it would be a good idea for groups that hold highsec assets.

Like they do today, shoot the aggressor with the real corp?

in hs that would mean they have to join the war…

sigh Can you read please? I’m talking about non-highsec entities the whole time.

you mean the ones that are basically not effected by wardecks anyway?

No, the ones which probably benefit the most of the fix. Imperium, Test, PH, etc. freighters and any other pilot can freely roam highsec now.
