Welcome your new CSM

Another Orca alt. Thanks for identifying yourself, I guess.

Ever heard the term ā€œuseful idiotā€?
Thanks for voting for the #1 harmful candidate, I guess. Why do you hate eve so much?

Very true. Keep that in mind that we are just one path. Ask Rixx, he has worked hard and made a difference and not been csm (yet)

I was just saying to someone today that the only way I leave Eve is a death, mine or the games. And I have instructions for my daughter to dispose of my assets (plex for good) should it be me.

Momma always said I should give more than a hunnerd percent. But then she warnt that good a math.

Must have been a secret ballot . . . because I think I was #10 on the public good ballot . . . once. But thank you for your input.

I never can spell that word without having to runs to the dictionary. Well done.

I am just that damn good (and efficient, 150% and all that)

Double check, apparently it is possible to be both without knowing.

Orca, Fartsniffer, and others who may hate me? Donā€™t ever change. I enjoy this part of the game as well.

now that you say thatā€¦ i think i am a botā€¦ i live at my job and i still have full energy even after doing over 40 hours of massage every single week.

Oh man. Can we get Rixx and Grath on the CSM together?

Mike I respect you a lot, I wish you never retire.

I really glad you get elected , saw your interview I ā€œTalk In Stationā€ the ā€œMagical Mikeā€ (how is your cat btw) and it was helpful and awesome, but putting Rixx as example is horrible , I wont never vote a man that lobby so hard to remove the WCS without giving or suggesting anything in return. Then he went to a podcast with Ashtheroty bragging and congratulating himself about what he did, of course he is the saint for every lazy PVPā€™er but his changes affected so much (me personally). He is the architect of this downfall. That guy is the worst. I like you Mike but that man is the worst for a HS player like me. (Gankers love him of course)

IMOā€¦ No corp or alliance should have more than one representative in CSM and it should be limited to one term only. EVE is a product that needs to be sold to a diverse player base. An election system that caters to large voting blocks will not help sell the product.

Thereā€™s a reason why most get elected multiple times. Since itā€™s a yearly thing, and not all of CCP enjoy the CSM aspect, imagine every year having to deal with a complete noobsquad of elected players. Sure the previous work with the new team to update whatā€™s going on, but that only does so much.

They will just push a new sock puppet while other groups who already struggle to find decent candidates would be negatively impacted. Your idea would achieve the exact opposite of what you want it to do.

I spent my gaming hours of an entire evening carefully reading through each candidate - you are so correct, nullsec an WH was all most of them talked about. Left us hisec players feel as if there was nobody there to represent us (and please donā€™t go all ā€œthen get out of hisecā€, Iā€™m physically disabled and cannot play this game to its fullest extent, so I build ships and work the ā€œspreadsheets in spaceā€)ā€¦ but I did read all the short ā€œvote-for-meā€ listings.
Some candidates came off rather insulting, others straight-up said they were only going to represent nullsecā€¦ but a few did state their bias, but promised to work for ALL players in all secsā€¦ very few, but they were there. I lost my notepad, so I cannot figure out if the person I wanted most was elected (Iā€™m bad at remembering names).
Why didnā€™t I run? You might ask? Iā€™m not qualified to know all there is about EVEā€¦ and I can only communicate via text or pretty poor sign language (excuses, excuses). Seriously, my physical disability would prevent me from being able to have any meaningful discussion with anyone, BUT, as I read through each candidate, I did feel the majority were players bragging about how they ONLY live in nullsec so therefore vote for them!
Hi and low need better representation. I truly would love to be able to have my input taken seriously (or taken at all), but until I can re-learn how to speak (to use Skype et.al.) my ā€œvoiceā€ wouldnā€™t be heard.

The thing about that is, as I was trying to be a cheerleader to get players in hisec to vote for a CSM and actually know a little about who they vote for (and not vote simply because someone has a cool name or toon), a LOT of hisec people responded with "Whatā€™s a CSM do?
They were either punking me or actual new players.
This could be a reason why there are fewer votes coming from hisec.

WIth this faulty reasoning Aryth was the past high sec candidate. He spent the majority of his time ingame in Jita.

That makes my day!!
Youā€™re the greatest.
I too wonā€™t leave the game. Iā€™ll keep playing EVE until they shut the servers down or I die, whichever comes first.

Youā€™re assuming I know who Aryth is of course. That name is not familiar to me.

I really want CCP to pay attention to this video. Which is very well suited not only to WoW:

Draw conclusions before itā€™s too late.

If CCP does not draw the necessary income to fund its operations, the game would ultimately Exit us. The level of fear about asking people to pay for things in a game that is a for-profit business just blows my mind. And WoW supposedly has millions of subscribers still, so not like itā€™s gone down in flames.

Hello,

i did not vote (and so i didnt know if i have the right to speak) but i dont understand that :

38 086 votes, but on the screen which show the votes/country the total of votes is ā€¦31 630 ? May be i did a mistake on the calculation ?

Sorry for that this is my professional deformation ā€¦

nah, i donā€™t think i will celebrate them

You would be wrong. Programs were run to turn isk into votes. It is a FACT that rich groups create burner accounts to vote for the CSM. Largely null.

I hadnā€™t thought about it until now, but I pet this problem is largely aggravated by the ability to go omega for less than 30 days. I bet itā€™s way cheaper to turn isk into CSM members than we would think.

If the casino war taught us anything, isk is not a problem and a couple of titans worth of isk may largely affect the outcome of a CSM election. Has any one done math on this?

Edit: Holy ā– ā– ā– ā–  this thread I didnā€™t read is long.

It feels a little more on topic to simply say, the CSM to me is simply a giant beacon of false hope andā€¦ The beacon providesā€¦ CCP continuously and repetitively plans, creates, and implements drastic game breaking changes without notifying the CSM. And when the CSM protests on patch day, they are usually ignored and asked to ā€œtrust us.ā€

If CCP wonā€™t talk to the CSM about their planned development, then the CSM is just a good old boys club that won the popularity contest.

Would have to search, but pretty sure the Omega requirement was longer than 30 days.
