Yes. If you come and attempt to destroy something of mine and fail, I will mock you. I’ve seen gankers taunting miners way too often to ever feel sorry for them because they just lost their ships to Concord after a failed attempt at destroying someone else’s property.

My shield skills weren’t even level 5 yet. Guess it’s true. High sec just isn’t dangerous anymore. Well… unless you’re facing diamond rats while mining in a 0.5. That gets pretty scary at times. Can’t always get away to grab your combat ship.

You brag about your 700K EHP Hauler…yet I sit right outside Jita for extended periods in full range of Tornadoes and Catalysts and such, not in some remote belt miles from nowhere that nobody else ever visits but right in the thick of it, sometimes in ships with as little as 40K EHP.

Yeah but that kind of gank requires a large group of people. One person can’t do that. That’s why those groups are not common. They used to be, but that was when Eve had a larger player base. Large groups require planning between like-minded people.
Of course, there are the illegal multibox groups. I’ve seen a group of 12 marauders a couple of times. But, not only is that illegal, but it’s quite expensive. A group like that against a single ship would be an absolute waste.
And I wasn’t talking about Jita space. There is no ice belt in Jita space. I was in Brapelille at the time. It’s 18 jumps away from Jita. I was there for several months and I witnessed several ganking fleets. None of them were larger that 7 ships because roving ganking fleets don’t normally contain the 20 to 40 talos ships that you continuously talk about. Most often, all you see are enough Catalysts to take out a Hulk or an untanked Orca.
I’m very rarely ever in Jita space. With the new PLEX market features, I have even less of a reason to go there. All I need to worry about are diamond rats and maybe the very very occasional roving gang fleet that are even more rarely bigger than a few small ships. Shield tanking is only part of a good defence. Staying away from Jita and staying in a quiet area of New Eden is the rest of it.
