Tino Casal - Embrujada (1982)
I will deny that the still shot from this video made me think of a certain Zaeraā¦
Tino Casal was a very creative musician who had a short but bright career both as singer, composer and producer, until a freak car crash cut his career too short. In 1991 he was riding copilot when the car he was traveling in slipped on mud on the road, fell off a exit ramp and crashed against a lamp post on the road below; Casal, aged 41, wasnāt wearing the safety belt -was not mandatory at the time- and was ejected from the car, hitting the ground so hard that a rib broke and punctured fatally his heart. All other three occupants of the car survived with injuries of different severity, none life threatening.

Desmond Dekker & The Aces - Israelites (1968)
Grok helped me tracking this one after a first failed attempt, then a try with a different question, a miss, then a few more suggestions and jackpot.
So cool. This was the first reggae song to hit #1 in the UK, and paved the way for everybody else.
(BTW: best wishes to Jamaican people as Melissa moves in as a full force 5 beast, straight into the west of the islandā¦)
