I bet many of you will find this one oddly familiar…

Harry Thumann - Sphinx (1982)

Unofficially, Thuman claimed that the theme to TV series Knight Rider was based upon this somewhat obscure theme released earlier the same year… :woman_shrugging:t2:

Bonus track: this was the more commercially succesful project by herr Thuman…

Wonder Dog (Harry Thumann) - Ruff Mix (1982)

When I was all of 9 -the record wasn’t imported to Spain until the summer of 1983-, this theme both cracked me up and fascinated me. On the two theories on how it was performed, some people wondered how did he made the dogs bark right in time, whereas others (me included) figured he somewhat had recorded/synthesized the dog barks and played back them into the theme. The right answer? Thumann was a pioneer of sampling and vocoding, plus using Amiga computer based Midi.
