Covid and the war in Ukraine slowed me down with hits to my health and mood, but here I come back again with something completely different


Paco Ibåñez - Palabras para Julia (1969)

Based upon a poem by Spanish poet José Agustín Goytisolo, who wrote it for his newborn daughter Julia as a call for hope and resilience. JA Goytisolo struggled with depression for all his adult life after his mother was killed during the Spanish civil war while he was a child. Two poems written for his daughter Julia became songs and out of them two I decided to share this one.
