and now, for something completely different

Flash and the Pan - Waiting for a train (1982)

I was under the impression that I already had shared this one, but can’t find it
or maybe it was before the Discourse abomination
 :woman_shrugging:t4:

Anyway, a blast from the past from 40 years ago!

PS: wait
 maybe it was Midnight man
? Let me check
 :mag_right:

No, that neither. Well, here it comes, Flash and the Pan 2x1, straight from Australia and the 1980s!

Facto Delafé y las Flores Azules - Mar, el poder del mar (2009)

Translated lyrics

(her)
You say that I come, that I go
That I feel, that I listen, that I belong
That I can do a lot, that I tremble
That my eyes are clean, soft breeze
That you want me close
That you put distance in case you lose me
That the neighborhood is more beautiful since I arrived
That I’m the flower that brightens up the garden
The wind that Ms. Moon takes with her to let the sun shine, my love
All I want to say today is

I feel the same for you
The same feeling for you

(Him)
Yes, yes, great
I love listening to you, I love feeling you
Seeing you move and surprising you suddenly
With tickles on your knees
Yes, yes, great
I love listening to you, I love feeling you
The neighborhood is more beautiful since you arrived
The sun shines in my heart today

My girl, my love, my sunshine
The road that leads me to your door brings me joy
Spring has arrived to the city
And you don’t get how well it suits me, babe
Peaceful days pass by calmly
Your steps, my steps, combing the road
Whoever said the dead weren’t coming back to life?
Today I’m as clear as clean water

Your face, your house, your smiling eyes, my face
The breeze, the morning, the sun through my window
Peace, caresses, your breathing
Bells coming from the dining room
The clouds in the sky and a plane passing by
Draws a cotton white line
Your pillow, your eyes, your gaze
I’m at your house, I love your house, I change colors

A plane passes by, draws a line, silver now
Silver, the medal for the runner-up
Today I win, you win, we both win
Today I win, you win, we both win
Today I win, you win, we both win
Today I win, you win, we both win
Today I win, you win

This doesn’t end
This doesn’t end
This doesn’t end
This doesn’t end
This doesn’t end
This doesn’t end
This doesn’t end
This doesn’t end

and now, for something completely different

Los RelĂĄmpagos - Dulcinea (1965)

Los RelĂĄmpagos - Brazo de gitano (1976)

Back in the 1960s Spain had its own crop of bands playing instrumental themes similar to surf and garage rock music abroad, which would mix versions of classical and foreign themes with brand new compositions. Here’s a couple of tunes from Madridean band Los Relámpagos.

PS: “brazo de gitano”, literally “Gypsy’s arm”, is the Spanish version of the cake known as a Swiss roll, which in Spain is filled traditionally with cream or marmalade and coated with powdered sugar

All of us remember our first love interest, our first EvE Online splash screen (if we’ve played long enough), our first drink or smoke perhaps. I remember my first graphic MMO (Guild Wars), having ‘graduated’ from text MUDs and PC games. One of its strengths was its composer, Jeremy Soule.
