When buying a Titan where do you want-to and not-want-to buy from in regards to systems and stations?

So many things have changed since my last break and I am just curious about a few things, which I would obviously not do, until I had a clear understanding of.

When purchasing a titan on the forums (or in game contract) what do you want to be on the look out for? What type of systems to avoid? What type of stations or player own station to avoid, etc,.

Any help or suggestions and recommendations on the matter would be truly helpful, thanks!

Anywhere outside your sov space or groups main home system in low sec. Buying public contract Titans is asking for trouble everywhere.

Considering that a Titan cannot dock anywhere except for Keepstars, if I had that sort of money I wouldn’t buy any further away than a jump from my coalition’s nearest Keepstar.

Preferably it should be within a Keepstar of my coalition, because buying a Titan that has been sent to an NPC station via asset safety is asking for trouble.

The moment it sells non-allied players know you bought a Titan in that NPC station and they also know that you cannot dock back up the moment you exit, so an easy well-timed bubble is a free Titan kill for them.

Personally I’d ask the Titan pilots in your alliance for advice what to do and where to buy a Titan.

If you don’t have those, maybe get a smaller ship.

Thanks for the insight.. That’s why I ask these types of questions. One has to start somewhere. Last time I owned a titan they cost half as much as they do now. You could get a T2 trimarked Erebus for 90bil.

Those are usually bought by npc alts.
