When did they nerf insurance?!

Oh for the days of ganking in fully insured battleships and self-destructing stuff because the insurance payout left you in profit.

Oh wait that’s why insurance is now based on the mineral cost and not the market value.

If [chance of losing ship]≥[cost]/[payout] then insurance is worth it. The actual price of the ship have no relevance whatsoever.

Thread brought back memories of when insurance combined with salvage was more than ship build costs.
Remember undocking at the station during the height of this “exploit” and watching ship after ship self destruct shortly after undocking as the Goons industrialized insurance “fraud”. Course, CCP backpedaled fast and changed it in probably one of their fastest reversals ever. Still, one of the best examples of thinking outside of the box for profit in EVE.

Quickest way to get isk on SiSi at least

Once upon a time, that was also the case in dronelands. Since back then drones had alloys instead of bounties.

If you arent also being a predator, why use an Astero instead of a Buzzard or even Heron?

The advantages are marginal at best if you arent using the weapon system bonuses.

You assume he have the skills to fly a buzzard (or some other covert ops frigate), I suppose.

Meanwhile I assume the lack of covert ops cloak is a big motivation to not use tech 1 exploration frigates.

Are you saying he’s an Alpha poor?

Or did he admit it and I missed it?

A significant portion of players use a forum alt because they know they will be made fun of.

Hey, that’s intel for forum PvP!

Saying? No, I’m assuming things and can be wrong.

I always found this kind of tragic really.

T1 ships have the best insurance payout, whereas faction and T2 suck on that. Always has.

Its pronounced puh-DAN-tick

Not as tragic as following people around and trolling them about a game you dont even play.

Insurance is a good game mechanic that allows newbies and players without a lot of ISK in T1 ships to easily replace losses.

If you have enough ISK to fly (and lose) hulls beyond T1, you shouldn’t rely on insurance anymore. But as you apparently do not have that amount of ISK, try flying cheaper ships so that insurance pays a bigger amount in case you lose the ship.

It’s much cheaper to learn about combat herons if you’re flying a T1 or T2 explorer, rather than an Astero.

I reply to you a couple of times and you think I’m following you? LOL.

CCP should restrict the forums to active Omega accounts.
