You’re not listening. Stop thinking one could play EVE for free and easily succeed at the same time. You cannot, and it’s unrealistic to believe so. The player who pays for his or her subscription with cash will always have a better time than the one who pays 1b-2b ISKs per month for a PLEX

exactly this. if you are struggling to plex your account every month, just think about how much more you would be able to do if you had an extra 2b, how much faster would you be able to progress? what kinda better ships could you afford, bpo’s you could buy, more market trading isk you could have etc.
pay for your sub, and there you go suddenly you got that extra isk

I think Greyspear said what he wanted to say, but quoted the wrong post. My one said nothing about F2P vs pay to play, and the weak/string player thing was initiated by an earlier and (more or less) content-free post.

Except it isn’t broken precisely because its OUR sandbox, they added the items and they allow US to set the price based on supply and demand, if we don’t supply enough to meet demand then the price goes up, its the same for pretty much every single item ingame outside of the rare AT prize type items

So it kind of is our job to change it if we actually think there is a problem, i don’t personally see this as an issue because PLEX is supposed to be something you aim for later not from the word go

would you look at that, prices are steadily dropping, have been going down for the past day or two, and it seems a tipping point may have been hit, since a bunch of very large sell orders just hit the market, and the sell price has crashed by around 3% in the past hour alone. granted it could bounce back, but with the summer lump coming up and prices historically starting to dip around this time of year, this will probably be the best chance to sell until next winter.
