I have been doing the Winter Nexus Data sites in Null sec and finding systems using the Metaliminal Storms on the in game map. Do the data sites have better loot when you do sites which are showing red, orange for Metaliminal Storms on the in game map? or is it always the same?
So far the loot has been kinda meh.
What does the colour of the Metaliminal Storm system actually mean?
The color generally means two things:
• Sites spawn more frequently (red is the highest)
• There are stronger effects from the Metaliminal Storms
Low-sec supposedly has the best rewards (not sure if that’s any specific type or all types).
The Metaliminal Storms are slowly moving through the Eve Universe. A red storm system is basically the center of the storm whereas the yellow storm systems are at the edge of the storm…
I don’t know if there’s a difference in the loot drops but the sites do spawn a lot more in red and orange storm systems compared to yellow storm systems…
What sort of loot do you get from doing the ice mining sites?
Salvage, overseeer, skins, and I got one training booster that one time
The drops are the same between regions , overseer , skins , cerebral accelarators , true sansa modules , boosters , filaments both for the event and for abyss , normal data loot including bpcs .
HS has the lowest value in loot but it is still amazing , LS has the best because CCP wanted to give an insentive to ppl to go in LS . So if u go in LS and do explo u may get overseer lvl 18 where as in NS u’ll get overseer lvl 13 . Ofc it depends on luck as well .
Between explo , mining , combat sites i don’t know if there is any difference in value . I would expect the harder the activity the better loot u’d get , but so far i’ve only done explo .
I don’t know if I’d go as far as “still amazing”, but sure - it’s something (if you have a fast Marauder, you can probably pull in 120-150m+ ISK in an hour).
I’m at the halfway point in the Agency Event points and been doing both Hacking and Mining sites. When I first started I did open one of the Green Gift Packages from Mining, however I don’t remember the exact name of the box or what it contained. There’s also some rare White Gift Packages received at random as well. Currently I have 35x Green Packages and 3x White Packages.
Anyway I’ll have to check them and report back after I log in again.

The Mining sites basic reward package is called Ore Green Salvage and the rare random reward package is called Peculiar Icebound Salvage…
Granted I only opened one of each so there’s probably more loot items available from what I received…

Very similar to what ive been getting in Null. Although i have been getting skins for different ships. Still managed to get some nice skins.
