All you have provided is a word salad and thats ok
Then stay uninformed, that also is OK.
I only ask that you stop making uninformed suggestions.
Im going to leave, the salad is making me hungry
Please do!
Where is this supposed “balance” you speak of? It’s not like my Maruader will ever face off against anything even remotely approaching a “balanced” fight…
Indeed, Marauders were usually on the oppressive side. Until that nerf.
Only in niche scenarios.
Indeed, it was rather niche that Marauders with massive bonuses to active tank would fit a buffer tank, but they were oppressive in that niche.
Luckily their main purpose as actively repaired top-of-the-line subcaptial ship hasn’t been changed.
CCP: creates modules and ships with fitting slots
Players: Creates a fit they like
CCP: Noooo you cant you do that
Players can still do that, even now.
CCP just made doing that a bit less effective because it was an oppressive strategy in PvP in need of a nerf.
Its not oppressive when anyone can recreate the fit? I think what you meant is it was popular?
I’m pretty sure there are no X-Large modules for any battleship, so why should they get cap batteries? How about an X-Large deadspace MWD for my Machariel so I can really punt AFK Orcas into the shadow realm…
X-Large shield boosters exist, but that’s a rare exception.
Ah, I don’t use shield boosters, so I hadn’t noticed that.
We seem to have gone off-topic here…
Basically you only want to create spam. If you don’t want feedback to your suggestion or be active in the discussion you started, imho you should keep your ideas to yourself.
There are 4 tiers of Cap Batteries, and Boosters for that matter, those are Small, Medium, Large, and Capital and their intended use are (respectively) Frigate/Destroyer, Cruiser/BattleCruiser, Battleship, and Capitals.
Each of the 2 categories provide different advantages:
- Cap Battery - increases the maximum capacity of your ships capacitor, provides some resistance to Energy Neutralizer/Nosferatu.
- Cap Booster - Provides the ability to instantly inject energy into the ship’s capacitor.
We do not need an XL size battery/booster.
For the other discussion:
- Mid slots are focused around Shield Tank (Buffer/Active), Damage Application, Electronic Warfare, Hull Tank (Active).
- Low slots are focused around Armor (Buffer/Active), Hull Tank (Buffer), Damage Increase, Minor Damage Application, Shield Tank (Passive), Ship Stats.
So when you compare Shield vs Armor Tank: when you Shield Tank you sacrifices your damage application but you can increase the overall damage when you do hit. When you Armor Tank you sacrifices your overall damage when you hit but can greatly increase the chance that you do hit the target through EW.
Bye o/
That’s literally what oppressive strategy means. It’s a strategy that pushes most others out of the meta because it’s just better than everything else. It’s popular BECAUSE it’s oppressive.
Calling something popular oppressive is an excuse to nerf it and feel powerful/relevant
You’re wrong, but luckily you’re not in charge of game balance so it doesn’t matter much that you’re wrong.
