If they had in fact done great work, they would have told us about this “change” in advance, they would have released an advance notice for an extended DT, and they would have tested the feature extensively. As it shows, they have not done any of these three things. I do not understand how you could possibly say they do great work.
Unless this is a case of Joke > Me > Whoosh!, then you are excused.
