Thats why so many of the unskilled indy players run 20+ accounts right? The game is so easy they need 20 accounts.
Then they can plex and keep growing the account they have. CCP gets money from subscriptions and plex sales. it really doesn’t matter if they get omega from cash or plex becuase the devs still get paid and the player still gets omega.
You still haven’t provided any evidence that a more advanced alpha mining ship would hurt the economy any more or less then multy boxing, the venture or the shortage. Also some of the players might branch out and develop skills for other things then just mining. I have a heavy indy background but im dipping my toes into FW more and more. Others might do the same thing. Just like the “PvPers” that rag on miners also have 20 mining alts. you never know what could happen.
If every alpha player earns ISK faster, wouldn’t the price of Omega just go up too together with the increased income?
Besides, Alpha players don’t need to ‘easily earn Omega’. It’s OK if Omega accounts can easily earn Omega because an Alpha player who pays for Omega each month is not an Alpha player but an Omega player.
Only to earn the first month of Omega will that player be Alpha, but there’s nothing wrong if that takes a bit longer than a month.
You are right. A little elbow grease doesn’t hurt and a little extra time gives them time to learn about the game. But right now it feels like a 2nd job. The economy will always change the prices will always go up and up and up. Alpha players need to be able to have the option to plex without working a 40h week just grinding.
For the same reason you and some others think alphas don’t/can’t/won’t get plex. Giggles. Also I never said the alphas need to do it in a month all I said is it should be easier for alphas.
Want to point out where I said they have a time limit? Or do you want to keep trying to put words in my mouth?
All I want is for a stepping stone ship to help folks. Also the excuse that a venture mark 2 will flood the market is nonsense. You forget that people would be building the mark 2 and that would eat minerals also a lot of alphas run T1 stuff and that is also built from minerals. It would balance.
In that quote you imply that Alphas need to grind under time pressure, because if they were not under time pressure Alphas could earn Omega even by playing one hour a week, eventually.
There is no hurry, no time pressure and no reason to grind 40 hours a week for Omega unless you want to, or define some arbitrary time limits.
Next, Venture ‘mark 2’ exists and are some of the Omega ships I often use while mining: Prospect and Endurance. But the main benefit of both of those ships is their cloak, which isn’t accessible for Alphas anyway.
Even the Venture is a good mining ship if you look at cost-efficient yield and survivability, which are important factors for newbie miners.
Why do people always demand ‘more’, ‘bigger’ ‘better’ and in this case all of that for free?
You are trying way to hard to twist my words. At this point its just sad.
I’m sure everybody knows that. I was in reference to a stepping stone ship for alphas. I apologize if that went over your head.
Nobody said they should get the ship for free. I assume they will buy it or produce it themselves. If you want to acquire them and give them out for free thats between you and the alpha.
Thats the price for stupid persons, right. Like a dummy-tax. For the last years I paid on average between 8 and 10 € per month for my omega sub.
You do know that you can buy PLEX in large bulk packets, especially when it is on sale multiple times a year? Even get a further discount with some streamer-codes? And then convert it into Omega time when there is an Omega-Offer so you only need 350 or 375 PLEX per month?
If you haven’t figured that out yet, the sub-price is the smallest of all your problems.
You came up with a very weak argument that a new alpha ship would wreck the market. I debunked that easily and now your only argument is “Because” or “spend money” So let me try another angle although we both know i’m wasting my time because the real reason you are against it is just simply that miners like to gate keep.
Now lets say I want the stepping stone ship for omega players as something between the venture and barge. Come up with something better than “because” and “rl money” please.
Alphas should be allowed only T1 ships and modules. No Navy-, Pirate- or T2 ships ever. No T2, Faction or Deadspace items. Maxium is a basic T1 ship with up to Meta-T1 equipment. Each and every skill for them is limited to Level III. Test: yes. Maximize: No.
They can participate in every basic content with that. But to really dive in deep, they have to sub. Easy decision, either I like the game enough that it’s worth the 10 bucks a month, or not.
