3DConnexion Spacemouse not recognized on Mac Client

I did notice there was a post about this last year, but there was no activity on it, so I’m bringing it up again.

I recently tried giving EVE a try on a newly acquired M5 MBP. Everything is working great EXCEPT for the fact that my Spacemouse is not recognized by the game client.

Axis inputs don’t work and the GUI options to bind speed and sensitivity do not appear as I would expect them to had it been properly detected.

Can we pretty please revisit this and get Spacemouse support working in the Mac Client? Your players that want to create EVE content on Mac would love you. For now, I’ll have to go back to the Windows client as this is a deal breaker for me.

Is it an issue with the MacBook Pro/EVE or with a specific OS version? Cool mouse though!

Yeah, it’s a really awesome piece of hardware and a must have for capturing any serious Eve video content.

I’m fairly certain this is an issue with the EVE client.

I’m on MacOS 26.5.2, the most current release version, and it works in other supported apps.

looks like it just natively does not work with eve online.. for the mac version.

It does look like the Spacemouse code is there, I can see the module for it being loaded when I drill down into the running process, but there’s something wrong with how it’s implemented or talking to the 3dconnexion driver in the Mac version. I’m hopeful some attention can be given to this and we can get this working in the Mac client.
