Id be trying to gain as much information about them as possible to mitigate further risk, which is why Id want to know
Who they were (faction etc)
What they flew
If they were part of an FOB fleet
Etc
You seem to have flown in null a lot. Didnt you intel gather there?
Ok so yeah FOB rats.
Their base appears on Dscan. So either move one system over, or get a fleet and kill it.

Btw they also appear in the agency so one can always check if there is a FOB in system or nearby before undocking even if the FOB is not in d-scan range. I think it is under the Encounters section of the agency if I recall correctly.

FOB rats - as mentioned, the base will be in your system until destroyed or it despawns in a few days. You can also see pirate bases in your agency window.
Any rat with a diamond symbol is very tough and will use ewar on you, as well as calling in a support fleet. These have been in the game for a very long time now.
