A Critique of historical Imperial Reclaiming Policy

While some are sitting and waiting others are watching, preparing and planning.

Well, of the three, preparing might have some practical application, but… be honest with yourself now.

I prefer impractical applications, anyway.

It’s funny how tribals blame Imperials in illegal slave trade, while one of the largest criminal organization that is involved in illegal slave raids is actually a Minmatar outlaw group known as Angel Cartel.

Their hatred truly makes them blind… and dumb.

Because the cartel doesnt specifically target us, the cartel isnt doing it in the name of destroying what we are.

It’s funny how you think the Angel Cartel’s activity is even close to the scope of the Imperial slave trade.

According to MIO representative, the reason for enslaving is a criminal activity, thus we can make a conclusion that the Empire specifically target criminals and outlaws in order to destroy what they are.

Are you getting what I am coming to?

If the MIO is to believed or not I won’t argue, a history of doing what i said is most definately not shared between the two.

So dirtside populations on Republic worlds, people that have never been inside the Empire, are being enslaved because the Empire says they’re criminals?

I can only imagine how you’d feel if the Federation decided ‘hey, look, we’re gonna send the Fed Navy into Lonetrek to ‘arrest’ a whole bunch of people who’ve never been off-world. Not specific people, mind, we’re just gonna take a few thousand at a pop, randomly… and we’re gonna do this for saaaay… forever.’

Yeah, I’m sure you’d decide ‘oh, well, they’re criminals? That’s fine, then.’

Some days I want to reconquer the Minmatar just so they’ll shut up.

They don’t, unless you are a relict fossil who’ve slept through the last 700 years or so.
Time to wake up. Or maybe not. Keep sleeping.

Yeah, Diana, they do. Daily. All while they officially lie and claim they don’t. Where do you think all the Imperial Navy tags in Republic space come from? RSS and other orgs hire capsuleers to hunt these guys.

Being Minmatar without a permit.
Being accessory to being Minmatar without a permit.
Aiding and abetting being Minmatar without a permit.

Stop right there, criminal scum.

I think you’re mistaking illegal and immoral here, Miz.

The raids are illegal and evidence of them constitutes evidence of a breach of the Yulai Accords (if I remember correctly). The Empire undertook not to raid outside their space for slaves.

The breeding facilities are not illegal under Empire Law, even if they make me throw up in my mouth at the thought of them. They are also not a breach of any undertaking that the Empire has made to an outside power.

Everyone that is not a member of the faith is a criminal under Scriptural law.

But that doesn’t change the fact that the Empire has agreed to rules regarding international behavior, and any breaches of those rules is dishonest and a sin.

Some days I wish slavers with their superiority complexes and nothing but snark to contribute would just STFU.

Time to start enslaving the Caldari as well, then? Surely relying on criminals as allies of convenience is morally abhorrent?

Read both parts of my post.

Well then you should be working harder to comply to those agreements, no?

I am not the emperor, an heir, or a holder. I am not an ambassador, Theology Councillor, Privy Councillor, or a general. I have no authority in the Empire, and so cannot compel anyone to comply to those agreements. Nor have I ever engaged in such violations myself, so I already personally comply to those agreements.

In short, throw your accusations at someone else.
