Alix Moreau election win

The Federation has a new president, and her name is…!

Congratulations to Alix Moreau for defeating their opponent Soraya Roden and for getting the opportunity to lead the Federation into a new era of prosperity and freedom.

Given the importance of self-determination and freedom of choice, I trust they will remember how fundamental a right that freedom is to every sentient and will fight to preserve and promote it within the Federation. I wish them the absolute best of luck.

Personally, I’m saddened, but not surprised, that Tenzin got as few votes as he did. He was clearly a man who had the absolute best interests in mind for those who have no advocate of their own. I’m still disheartened so few thought that was a cause worth voting for.

But I’m damned glad Roden didn’t get put in the driver’s seat, and her reaction to her loss just reinforced that belief all the more. I expect the new leader will be tested sooner then they’d like.

For now, I’l raise a glass for a disaster averted!

She did show her colors with that reaction, didn’t she?

Another poor choice…

I think it is important, in a democratic system and hopefully to improve it and install the safeguards necessary to not have a repeat of Aguard.

Gallente Capsuleers and sympathetics should advocate and encourage the new President Moreau to seek a position for Candidate Tenzin as an advisor or even endorse them as a candidate of the Gallente senate.

Many baseliners (with respect to them) were enamored by Tenzin’s campaign, and I think his political activism highlight a genuine quality of humanity and empathy that has been lacking for some time in the Gallente governance.

President Moreau and her administration would be remiss if they did not implore a possibility of a greater democratic future with Tenzin.

Despite the clear corporate benefits that may have come with a Roden win I myself am delighted with the outcome.

Tenzin would have been my second choice as the people of the Federation may have found him a decidedly dignified leader however sadly I think his politics may not of come with the strength that I believe Moreau’s does.

The Federation have been on the backfoot in recent scientific innovation and I believe such will be strongly required in the toils ahead.
