All those new "targets in space"

Still haven’t seen a single abyssal runner to gank in Hek. You know they’re just going to find the most risk averse way possible to run these. CCP either needs to remove abyssals or put these players in some REAL risk.

Just add the suspect flag to them. There shouldn’t be anywhere in highsec to run these without a suspect flag. I don’t know why CCP won’t do the obvious thing.

Yup, this is the way. They mostly run these in HACs and passive gilas. So even IF I find someone I would need a minimum of 6ish accounts to kill them. Not to mention they have a zillion ways they can be safe 100% of the time meaning I would inevitably lose half my ganks to one of these methods.

See, this is WHY gankers shoot for salt, luls, and fun instead of isk. Shooting for profit is borderline impossible and horribly boring because you have to be SO choosey.

This ganking nerf was super heavy handed and they haven’t even implemented the tether part yet.

This patch could’ve been really good if CCP would’ve just focused on releasing FW and left out the crappy docking/station changes and the ignorant ganking changes.

Cliff uses coercers since most peeps use shield doctrine gilas as you said.

But yea, it was a total red herring on CCP’s part.

Did peeps run abyssals in Jita? Yea but they also ran the risk of dying.

Smart abyssal runners run in quiet systems where gankers never go and then use move in silence like lasagna to get the stuff to Jita.

Me, I’m the smart abyssal runner

Or the abyssal runners should . . . I don’t know . . . lose ships every once in a while. This idea of never having a single loss is like a plague on this game.

Every once in a while there are some abyssal rooms that are unwinnable no matter what you are flying…

Oh yea you do lose ships.

One time I was using a hawk and just insta popped

Good times LOL.

Meh. I never tried them. They seemed dumb.

all I see is tears because you might actually have to work for a kill… (instead of afk camp noobs)

HS should be SAFE and punish criminals…but possible to die… and the current changes fit this… you just have to work for a kill and take the consequences with it if you want some actual profit for said consequences like being locked out of docking.

(you got all of NULL/LOW/WH/PHOCHEN to hunt for easy targets with no consequences which is still where most fights/losses happen…but that also increases YOUR losses… your afraid of losing)

ANOTHER anti-ganking forum alt? Where do they all come from?

I don’t understand why anyone would be placing the filament in Hek. There’s no end of 0.5 systems with not a soul in them, empty most of the day, where a person could enter and exit and nobody knows. Rewards can then just be stored locally and transported to a hub at a later date.

As Altara said, why would an abyss runner launch from Hek, a lowish activity system with a known ganking element anyway?

And why are you being lazy and sitting in Hek instead of finding out where they do launch from?

Personally I feel that level 4 (maybe 5) and up Abyss should only be able to activate outside highsec but whatever.

The odd thing is you HS gankers getting so worked up about someone else playing the game and (maybe) making a profit in a way that takes significant effort for you to disrupt. And crying about how hard it is for you to earn a profit safely in HS… sheesh.

As I said in another thread, everybody loves the “EVE sandbox”… until they see someone else playing differently than they want them to.

Have you, or better yet, can you run a T6 Abyssal?

Because Hek is a trading hub. It is the safe place to run abyssals

Why are you so salty?, gankers are ultra happy with abyss runners, they are just doing another form of mining. The ones who cried to CCP to nerf abyss were other guys, not gankers.

That’s just dumb. I guess mission runners and miners should get a Suspect Flag as well?

Wake up and smell the coffee mate. HS was designed for Industrial Activities.

When you are running Abyssals you are not in highsec. Mate.

And where do appear after you complete the Abyssal…mate?

Lel, it took hours already to find a worthwhile victim to gank for profit. Now if you have to keep your toons positive security the threshold for that is almost doubled which means the time required to find a worthwhile target to gank is now trippled.

On the contrary, due to this I expect some profit gankers turn to “griefers” and will just gank for lulz like the most of us does.

CCP clearly doesn’t understand their own game because their changes have completely opposite effect on ganking than they intended.

That remains to be seen. What they want is for most of the gankers to just quit the game.
