I was about to apply for a job at ccpgames when the news broke yesterday.
Is there gonna be a change/stop in hiring planned at the moment?
There’s no plan to stop hiring - we’re always looking for new talent, so be sure to apply if you meet the job spec and want to be part of this kinda messed up but awesome family

I’m not sure if this question has already been answered on, but does this new owner has an actual power to make you do certain things with the game? I get that they promised to let you “run EVE as usual”, but they do have an actual power over CCP to make you change the way things are, or affect the direction of the development, right? Simple yes or no will suffice, thanks.
Pearl Abyss is thinking long term with EVE and CCP. We’re all trying to keep CCP as profitable as it can be, nothing new there, and we believe that’s best done in harmony with the players.
I generally tend not to beat around the bush when I’m talking to people, and in terms of “corporate speak”, I’m not interested in it. Anyone who talks to me regularly knows that.
If you’ve got questions, shout up.
With regards to your question about the plan for the next 12 months - it’s unchanged and you’ll be hearing more about what’s coming in 2018/2018 at EVE Vegas.
They’re the owners … they’re publicly traded … what on earth do you think
The key here is for CCP as a studio to not let it come to any such point where that could become a factor. Have a little trust in CCP, they may have been sold along with the baby, but that means the relation is intact. As long as things go well enough.
With this changeover and influx, will projects that are ostensibly complete and functional games like Valkyrie regain support alongside mainline EVE’s development instead of being backburnered to death? @CCP_Falcon , @CCP_Guard
Our relationship with the community, and community content creators remains unchanged.
In terms of pay to win - I’ve answered it a few times already - CCP still controls development of EVE Online, we’ve been super explicit on that front. Nothing to worry about.
Venturebeat has reported that there is a “a bonus earnout if certain financial targets are met”, and that Pearl abyss hopes to “further [their] market growth with Eve Online”
Both of these sound quite ominous, could you perhaps shed some light on what it means in practice?
Will anything change about the current payment model in EVE? This includes current prices and the content available to unpaid and paid players. Also, will anything change about the fact that all of EVE’s content is currently available with in-game currency rather than real money? If this is the case, will anything change about the in-game effort required to sustain this?
