Does this mean we’re getting a Fanfest, or at least laying down foundation for a semi-official one held in South Korea?
Is CCP now under pressure to develop an officially worked Korean language localization package?
Korean Pearl Abyss shareholders have been asking Black Desert Online users how profitable Eve Online is within CCP. Do you believe this acquisition is going to change the life cycle of how fast new updates are cranked out in our game?
Please post a picture of you holding a cup filled with biscuits if you are being held as hostage under duress!
so ya as not all Valkyrie pilots are eve players. thought I ask for some of them (from valkyrie discord) .they would love to know what this means for like of Valkyrie and its future.
We know the amazing studio and the people that work on it is no longer with you so imagine we will not see anything new game wise. however, a dream for some would be legacy mode were A roll back from warzone to the last build beforehand so they wanted to ask anyway knowing the answer properly be nope.
would this now mean the like new servers for other places around the world other then EU and USA being put up (what would be amazing) . could we ever see the like of schism and valkyrie pop up again else were in this big universe (like the quartermaster event in eve )personally, i love to know if we ever see the story carry on in one form or another.
I will not include my own nova, eve or the unnamed mmo as must of what i wanted to ask other have done so .
The NDA’s issued by CCP are specifically claused to be subjugated to Icelandic and EU law. So effectively the agreement is under EU law regardless of the other person location. Which is my question, as my interpretation matches yours.
When did Pearl Abyss first approach CCP or vice versa? Even a rough timeline would be helpful to let us know how long this deal has been in the works.
Will this deal provide a net increase or decrease in development resources for EVE? How about the other projects like Project Nova? Any major strategic changes from within CCP as a result of the acquisition?
Are there any immediate plans for avatar gameplay in EVE as a result of now-available tech, assets, and expertise? If not, are there plans to pursue or investigate this possibility?
Will Pearl Abyss be using CCP to help improve its own community handling in the EU and US? Any broad idea of how that collaboration will occur?
I can understand your sentiment, but in a distinct way you are scripting what they can answer. In other words, the way you put it, they can only answer with marketing speak - which isn’t truth. It’s influencing someone for someone else’s interests.
Ah, I see your edit. Yeah, no answer is an answer. But I am quite certain that they will try to provide one. Unfortunately, as business reality dictates that they can’t tell the truth there (in fact, Falcon and Guard may not even know and depend on others here) it was the kind of question which incentives them to only answer with marketing talk
It’s a yes or no question. Anything other than yes or no will also answer it. I have no interest in whether or not my question is fair. EVE isn’t fair. Life isn’t fair. If this is it for EVE, I want to know so I can take my money elsewhere. U c wut I did there?
I’m sure that, much like any other type of press conference, they have pre-determined talking points and will only answer questions that are aligned with those talking points…
This sounds to me, a non-business-savvy person, like Pearl Abyss is encouraging CCP to include more monetisation options in EVE/ its products.
This does not sound very appealing to me, as I think that you can already buy pretty much everything with PLEX.
So, my question would be: Was the deal/bonus based on numbers(revenue) you are ~confident~ certain can be achieved with the current monetization strategies in EVE, or do you plan on introducing more “opportunities” for monetization (in EVE) to be able to meet the agreed upon financial targets?
I can’t think of any question regarding the acquisition that won’t be answered with the standard corporate speak about how this is amazing for everyone involved. But I also get the reasoning behind that.
I have to imagine the company had different priorities when it was trying to court a buyer, so now that the deal is done what are the short term (next 12 months) priorities at CCP?
In the past two and a half years there’s been a lot of changes that went against what old eve standed for or that were just odd.
For example:
skill points could only be obtained by training - gutted by injectors
if you could fly it before the patch you can fly it after - gutted by fighter changes
payment for character transfers with plex - aren’t availible anymore due to bugs
the split of plex to microplex
you could only log in if you paid a subscrition - gutted by alpha changes
every skill point in the game was trained by someone - gutted by alphainjectors
100% instanced play introduced by the latest expansion
and i’m sure there’s more of them, that i’m missing.
How was the decision to introduce these changes affected by the prospected sale, if at all?
Where do we as STREAMFLEET stand , Where do us streamers stand with this sell out to Pearl Abyss.
I played eve for 12yrs and wont have some Asian company start filling it with P2W rubbish that they have shown to do with Black Pearl Online, you cannot deny that the game is full of microtransactions and you know where your eve community stands on this stuff to , we don’t want it at all. can you 100% assure us the community that it will never come to eve online ?
Thank you TamiyaCowboy (streamfleet - streamfleet streamer )
What is the scope and extent of your NDA? Can you post the full text of the NDA? Can we trust you after the shitshow that was the Atlanta office closing?
Will there be any PA representatives at Vegas, or joining you guys in person in Reykjavík btw @CCP_Falcon@CCP_Guard? And related to that - will they have any sway on hiring new employees in the near future, or going forward? I’m actively working towards joining the development team when the stars align~
Also, will the new ownership possibly lead to ushering in more merchandise? Having the sorts of things CUCumberDNX makes, for instance, would be absolutely fantastic
Hi, do you have plans to find a way to make an eSport out of Eve, even more now with PA already being into eSports? Also, about your mobile gaming plans, do you plan on making something cross-platform that affects the Eve universe like you tried with Dust? Thanks
Will there be a Fanfest 2019 since Pearl Abyss now owns CCP?
What was the profits generated by CCP in 2017? What was the multiple used to sell CCP for 425m? What sort of market statistics were used to evaluate the price Pearl Abyss paid for CCP? Are there any of the investors left or did they all turn a profit on the sale?
