They donât own the IP anymore, sold White Wolf & all its assets to Paradox Games.

Did CCP buy White Wolf, or just an exclusive license to develop a computer game off their IP.
I thought it was the latter.
They bought white wolf in 2006

Well, they merged, then CCP sold some of WWâs RPGs to a new company called Onyx and then CCP sold what was left of White Wolf and the WoD IP to Paradox:
So currently I think that Onyx could publish some of the other RPG games, but Paradox owns the WoD IP and whatâs left of White Wolf.

Yeah, I read up on it.
Damn, White Wolfs IPs, of which there are many, are amazing content and they created their entire para-world that co-exists with IRL. Any one of them is âready-madeâ for an MMO.
I legit bought and read White Wolf RPG game system publications by the dozens, just to read how awesome their infiltration of lore into history is.
Oh well.
There was no Fanfest in 2010, as we moved the timing from autumn 2009 to spring 2011.

Thereâs been a number of people raise concerns that scamming and/or highsec ganking could be banned (or massively nerfed) by the new owners. I know you probably canât guarantee anything (since if they decide to ban scamming a year from now, you canât say no anymore), but can you at least promise significant pushback if that kind of directive comes down from on high?

Nothing is changing. CCP has complete control. PA doesnât wanna change anything about it. CCP still has hilmar in control. Instead of financial investors who care about bottom dime, they have a game company instead.

My expectation is CCP has 6-24months to show they can keep up (and probably grow) revenue, to get a bonus.
If CCP cant deliver, they lose the bonus carrot AND PA will invariably start sticking its fingers into the CCP pie to increase revenue as PA sees fit.
So the contract of sale gives CCP an opportunity and incentive to keep up revenue past a certain point, for a certain duration, to prove they are profitable, as they themselves run the company and EVE.
If they cant, the bonus carrot is withdrawn, and the whip comes out.
Ironically, this might mean that CCP and EVE is already doomed as we know it.
Cos if CCP fails to meet the terms of the bonus, PA steps in, and the bonus is lost,
And if CCP succeeds, the bonus is earned, and CCP staff jumps ship, cos they got the bonus and what else is there to work for under another owner.
Hilmar himself also sold his stake, so he no longer benefits from the success of CCP directly, except perhaps as bonuses from PA if CCP does well, as CEO of CCP.
So it would seem EVE is screwed, either way, within the next two years.
