I get it, we’re all nervous about P2W in EvE, and it appears CCP has no plans at current. So lets ask a few other questions…
Since you’ve known (or suspected) about this for a few months, for those @ CCP who have looked at BDO, What features impress you the most?
What’s the top 3 things that BDO does that gets CCP Devs thinking, That would be cool in EvE.
From the press statements from both CCP and PA, it appears CCP could be considered a division within PA. PA stock has responded very positively to the announcement. So as an investor, are there any discussions of CCP going public? Is it even on the table at this point?
I’m feeling easier now. PA might be after the Chinese market with Aurora and Galaxy with CCP’s expertise operating in China, and they might trust that Nova will deliver cash soon enough to be worth a bonus. PA has bought CCP’s potential future, not its past/present as EVE caretakers.
(And lest not forget, there’s a unknown new “action” MMO in the works too… )
Is CCP firmly aware of the global community’s dangerously negative opinion towards Pearl Abyss and Pearl Abyss’ monetization practices in BDO?
Is CCP firmly aware of the reasons for that negative opinion?
And finally, with Pearl Abyss being part of the picture now; is it possible we may see some form of Walking In Stations content (obligatory “That is not horribly monetized” comment).
I believe the first two questions in particular will help relieve a large number of players’ personal fears with this whole event. Please comment on these?
He already stopped playing BDO. He became the top richest on his server. Published the method to become so rich (worker placement and crates) and quitm because the only “endgame” in BDO was getting better gear. Nothing you did had any actual consequences on the game for other players, so it wasn’t a real multiplayer game. Just a shiny paralel single player game. (which I agree with as I have played it for a while)
Just out of curiosity, given the not so stellar success of FOBs and other group content, why set yourself up again for the same ? Why not learn the lesson and actually apply it this time around ?
WHs are OK for people that like that kinda thing, but if you take Abyss in the same direction won’t that be just repeating what we already have ? Incursions are the only semi-successful group content due to the rewards / payout, rest is just “meh” at best, failed at the worst.
After previous statements that some of the CCP staff have played BDO themselves and were quite impressed, and after having watched numerous review’s on Youtube, I would like to know what level you guys have reached in BDO. You passed level 50 yet…?
I think they were impressed how much BDO sucks money off the players and how PA gets away with this. I know what I am talking about, I am kind of impressed too.
Well, If PA try to shoehorn their P2W tactics into EVE, I’d be very interested in seeing the outcome of them trying to scam the biggest collection of scammers ever assembled in a single online game.
You all realize that CCP falcon and CCP guard while we love them are just corporate drones they will tell us any lies they are told to to keep us as long as they can once the P2W stuff starts i’m out and i’m sure alot of people wont be far behind me
