Hello capsuleers,
I am looking for Android testers for W-Space Atlas, an independent companion app designed for wormhole exploration, PvE reference, and chain mapping.
The app is entering a Google Play closed beta before its public release.
What is W-Space Atlas?
W-Space Atlas is an offline-first Android app containing detailed information about wormhole space, including:
• Combat anomalies and signatures
• Site waves, triggers, Sleeper NPCs, abilities, and damage information
• Data and relic combat sites
• Gas, ore, ice, and resource sites
• Drops, escalations, and site notes
• Search and favorites
• A graphical wormhole chain mapper
• Optional EVE SSO live location tracking
The database and mapper remain available offline.
Visual wormhole mapper
The app includes a graphical mapper with:
• Automatic chain layout
• Manual node positioning
• Pan and zoom
• Fullscreen mode
• Home and current-system indicators
• Route highlighting back to Home
• EOL and mass-status warnings
• List and graphical views
The mapper has already been tested successfully on a real Android device.
Exploration Session
A dedicated exploration mode is being added to connect EVE live location tracking with the mapper.
When the character changes system, W-Space Atlas will help the player:
• Add new systems and connections
• Recognize return trips through existing connections
• Record signatures, wormhole types, EOL, mass status, and notes
• Avoid duplicate systems
• Keep a local history of recent transitions
• Automatically follow the current character location on the map
EVE SSO is optional. The app requests only:
esi-location.read_location.v1
This is used to read the character’s current solar system. The app never receives the user’s EVE account password.
Other planned beta features
• Report incorrect site or NPC data directly from the app
• Full local backup and restore
• Shareable wormhole-chain snapshots
• Signed remote database updates
• Improved accessibility and readability
• A redesigned high-contrast Android launcher icon
EVE authorization tokens and sensitive information will never be included in exported backups or shared chain files.
What I need from testers
The Google Play closed test requires Android users who are willing to remain enrolled for at least 14 days.
Useful testing includes:
• Installing and launching the app
• Browsing wormhole sites
• Testing search and favorites
• Creating and editing a wormhole chain
• Testing the graphical mapper and fullscreen mode
• Trying the app offline and reconnecting later
• Testing EVE SSO and live tracking
• Reporting incorrect data, crashes, or confusing behaviour
You do not need to be an expert in every part of wormhole space. General Android testing, mapper feedback, and usability feedback are also valuable.
Current status
• Android only
• Free
• No subscription
• No separate W-Space Atlas account required
• Offline database and mapper working
• EVE SSO and live tracking working
• Closed-beta recruitment in progress
