Anoikis.info - interactive map of wormhole space (Anoikis)

Rejoice fellow wormholers, bob provides today!

Introducing anoikis.info

It’s an interactive map of wormhole space featuring 2,604 wormhole systems with a live killfeed and history intel and couple of other fun stuff.

What does this tool contain:

Map

  • wormhole space map

Killfeed panel

  • Kills are streamed in real-time from zKillboard via WebSocket. It shows last 360 kills (60 on live page and 300 in history). When new kill pops, oldest one drops from the list.
  • When each kill happens it triggers blow animation on the map within that system.
  • You can locate the system via locate icon on the left, or go to zkill via its own icon.
  • When kill card is clicked, final blow info pops up.
  • Compact mode and history view icons on top, filter on the bottom.

Search bar & info panel

  • search bar; self-explanatory.
  • when viewing a system it shows its statics and basic info
  • there is a copy url button for you to share it and it will load to that specific system
  • inside info panel there are two buttons - system & intel

System view

  • Shows entire system with its planets and moons
  • 2 views for the solar system graphic: orrery and map. interpret this as readable and in-game accurate
  • List of all the planets and how many moons they have
  • Clicking on the star in the list pops up additional info about it
  • Rotation? cause why not

Intel - Heatmap

  • I store up to 60 days of all wormhole space kills (80k+) and keep them fresh
  • Heatmap of last 24 or 12 days activity
  • Heatmap of last 30 and 60 days activity pattern (x-hour, y-days)
  • List of most active corps and alliances with participation number (kills + losses)

Intel - Kill scatter (this is where the fun begins)

  • See what’s happening in the system by activity and isk value
  • 30 and 60 days scatter graph (x-days, y-isk value)
  • Different colors for different ships, and dots on hover dots for additional info
  • Additional sparkline in the corp/alliance list which is time sensitive depending whether you watch 30 or 60 days. Teal spike is kills, red is loss. (you can spot at glance where corp/alliance participated relative to scatter graph)
  • Clicking the sparkline or corp/alliance row will filter scatter graph to that corp/alliance showing its kills and losses
  • Clicking on corp/alliance name leads to their zkill

Map settings (bottom left)

  • Reset view (same as double clicking empty space)
  • Labels (show region/constellation/system names)
  • They are clickable on the map to zoom in on specific region/constellation
  • When labels are on, search bar gets buff. You can type in region and constellation names
  • Search input can receive full, short or partial names (r33 will match K-R00033 for example) Regions (example K-R00033): Constellations (example D-C00191):
    • Full name: k-r00033
    • Short name: k-r33
    • Partial: r33, r0003, k-r
    • Full name: d-c00191
    • Short name: d-c191
    • Partial: c191, c0019, d-c
    • Broad queries like c2 or r0 will match many results since they appear in lots of names. But they all show in the dropdown you can pick the right one. Basically find your own way/lingo to search for what you want)
  • Potato map; it just turns off glow from the stars. If the site is too heavy for your phone/laptop/pc for any reason, turn this on and the site will be faster and more responsive.
  • Colors; self-explanatory. eve (default one) is approximation of in-game star colors.

Mobile view:

  • Bob knows how much pain this is to do
  • A bit different layout
  • All icons are on the bottom to navigate (settings, search, killfeed, hide UI)
  • It could be better it could be worse. I’m ok with it for now…

resources used:

  • zKillboard R2Z2 (Squizz thank you for being on the right planet at the right time!)
  • EVE ESI, SDE, EIS
  • whtype.info

honorable mentions:

I could write more but I want people to check it out for themselves.

Current status? Did I make any mistakes? Hope not. If I find any I will correct them.

Future plans? Who knows. Maybe more intel tools, or +30 days so we can see quarterly activity
Will definitely pull more from whtype.info and integrate that tool a bit more (add wandering and reversed static types…). Suggestions and ideas are welcome, thought I reserve my right to be chill and not implement every wishful thinking (I do love to read them though).

Hope from this? For wormholers to have fun, make more content, have place to praise bob while meditating on the sacrifices that are being made (hide UI), learn, and above all teach new wormholers on where, what, when, who and why. and how!

Occasionally the backend may restart for updates or maintenance. The killfeed will be empty after a restart and will populate as new kills come in.

Time to chill out now, Puscifer’s last album is grabbing my attention, and I heard sleep is healthy?!
I’ll have one eye opened to catch feedback, monitor backend and what not…
My bad if this took too long to read.

tldr; check anoikis.info
praise bob

  • Added Latest 24H Recent tab in intel
Timeline of recent (24h) activity and engagement killcards (up to 3 up to 5) showing victim vs. final blow for each kill (both self-update as new kills come in). Great for checking a system at a glance before committing to the deeper heatmap / scatter views.

  • Added Prime Time & Rhythm panels in intel (heatmap tab)
New panels above/below the 30/60-day heatmap. Prime Time shows the 4-hour peak and dead window for the system. Rhythm shows avg kills/day, longest quiet streak, and the hottest weekday.

  • Added Thera connections (thanks EvE-Scout)
Select Thera to see every active Thera - wh connection (no Turnur, no Thera - k-space), or select any wormhole system currently connected to Thera to see its connection from the other side. Toggle on from settings or the Thera info panel.

  • Added solo/+n of others involved in kills
It’s in the final blow pop up in the killfeed and new Latest 24H tab in intel.

  • Fixed intel filter
Now it shows number of hidden kills depending on the active tab, and respects the 30/60-day toggle on heatmap / kill scatter

  • Killfeed history is now sorted chronologically
Live killfeed sorts kills as they come (their timestamp respects kill time). When they go to killfeed history they sort chronologically

  • Visual redesign of various stuff to make it more visible, readable and fun

  • Under the hood fixes for better experience

  • Tightened up mobile layout details

  • Bugs booshed

  • Added active systems
The site detects PvP fights as they happen and marks them as ‘active’.
They will show (if there is any at any given moment) in a list form under the search bar, and they will also have a rotating ring indicator on the map (yellow/ember/red, scaled by fight intensity).
The rules for what counts as ‘active’ might get tweaked as I see how it plays out

  • Added focus killfeed
A focused mode for the live killfeed - shows kills from one system only. Useful for watching an active fight, or any system you want to keep an eye on.

  • Killfeed buffer increased from 360 → 500 kills
The same buffer is shared between the global killfeed and per-system focused killfeed.

  • Live Intel
Entire intel panel now updates as new kills arrive — no need to close and reopen the panel to see the latest.
