Any fit for Alpha clones to hunt explorers?

Alpha clones don’t have cloaks, so the general ‘scan all the sites in the WH, make bookmarks, and sit cloaked’ isn’t really doable. Anybody have alpha fits for killing explorers in WH and maybe null?

Fit a T1 explorer for combat, those asteros will come to you

Your best bet here is to invest the 15 dollars/euros in the game if you want to kill some explorers, because it will be near impossible to catch one if you can’t have a CovOps cloak, a combat recon (since they are always invisible on Dscan) or a stealth bomber that can instantly lock targets after decloaking.

Because if the explorer isn’t dumb and refresh dscan often, it will see your ship coming and will just decide to hide to see where you’re at. And once he see either your probes or your ship landing on grid, he’ll just bail out.

Heh. You can try fitting a Venture. Your weakness is your “cloak”, so to speak. People simply don’t expect a Venture to be combat-fitted. When a Venture warps into a relic / data site, I think most explorers will feel amused rather than threatened.

Cheap Hunter Venture fit:

[Venture, Pure hunter]

Type-D Restrained Nanofiber Structure

5MN Cold-Gas Enduring Microwarpdrive
Faint Epsilon Scoped Warp Scrambler
Faint Epsilon Scoped Warp Scrambler

Limited Light Neutron Blaster I, Federation Navy Antimatter Charge S
Core Probe Launcher I, Sisters Core Scanner Probe
Limited Light Neutron Blaster I, Federation Navy Antimatter Charge S

Small Gravity Capacitor Upgrade I
Small Gravity Capacitor Upgrade I
[Empty Rig slot]

Hobgoblin I x2

STRATEGY: Warp in, overheat your MWD and approach the explorer, and scram. Very basic. You probably should avoid Asteros. However, the fit is very cheap (~1.5m) and the Venture has a +2 warp core strength, so you can possibly escape if the Astero tries to scram you.
