[ARC] Report on initial observations of the Veles Clade Automata Semiosis Sobornost

Greetings to all on the IGS,

Besides observing and reporting on the Svarog Clade Orbital Shipyards, ARC has also been observing the Veles Clade Automata Semiosis Sobornost and the Navka Overmind Sobor Coalescence in the system of Wirashoda.

Observers feel comfortable to have now collected enough observations to make this report on the initial observations. ARC wishes to once again stress that it is too early to draw any conclusions at this point in time. Camera footage has been added to this report and will be positioned underneath the described observations.

Upon entering the system of Wirashoda, a navigational beacon will highlight the location of the Veles Clade Automata Semiosis Sobornost and the Navka Overmind Sobor Coalescence. When travelling to this location one can observe the following:

  • The Veles Clade Automata Semiosis Sobornost (VCASS);
  • The Navka Overmind Sobor Coalescence (NOSC);
  • 3 rogue drone structures that are disc shaped
  • 5 rogue drone structures that are shaped like a young or old moon;
  • 8 Triglavian Pylon structures;
  • 7 clusters of rogue drone structures that look similar to the rogue drone nursery;
  • 31 capital or super capital sized rogue drone vessels;
  • Uncountable numbers of rogue drones that are too small for classification.

Observations with regard to the Veles Clade Automata Semiosis Sobornost (VCASS)
The Veles Clade Automata Semiosis Sobornost (VCASS) is located at the center of the site and is positioned directly above the Navka Overmind Sobor Coalescence (NOSC).

It appearence is similar to the 4 ‘Structures’ that have been observed in the Svarog Clade Orbital Shipyards. A noticable difference is that these ‘Structures’ are connected through a central object. At this time it is unclear if the VCASS is the central object, the 4 connected ‘Structures’ or the combination of both.

Further observations are required but it might provide insights into what the function of the ‘Structures’ is.

Observations with regard to the Navka Overmind Sobor Coalescence (NOSC)
The Navka Overmind Sobor Coalescence (NOSC) is located at the centre of the site and located underneath the VCASS. It shows a lot of similarities with other disc shaped rogue drone structures. At this time there is not enough information to tell the difference between the two.

Further observations are needed to learn more about the NOSC

Observations with regard to the disc shaped rogue drone structures
Both the NOSC and the disc shaped rogue drone structures seem similar in shape and appearence. there are no clear differences between those located in this site and those encountered known space.

Both the NOSC and the disc shaped rogue drone structures have a central location that allows for entry and/or exit of the structure from both the top and bottom. At the bottom of the structure 2 medium and 3 smaller green hexagon grids can be seen. Their purpose is as of yet unknown but observers speculate that they could serve as vents or power sources.

When looking at these structres from the top, the central entry and/or exit can be seen and one large grid that shows similarities with the green hexagon grids on the bottom of the structures.

When comparing these green grids to the grids in/on rogue drone structures in known space, the glow is more noticable on the structures in Wirashoda. Observers have not been able to confirm if the grids in/on rogue drone structures in known space are also green in color. At this point it is unknown if this is caused by the difference in lighting or if it has other causes.

Further observations are needed.

Observations with regard to the rogue drone structures that are shaped like a young or old moon
These rogue drone structures do not appear any different from similar rogue drone structres that can be found in known space.
The green glow at the top of the structure does seem more noticable but this could be the difference in lighting.

Observations with regard to the Triglavian Pylon Structures
The Trivlavian Pylon Structures are positioned around both the VCASS and the NOSC. The VCASS has 3 Triglavian Pylon Structures positioned around it. The NOSC has 5 Triglavian Pylon Structures positioned around it. The function of these Triglavian Pylon Structures is unknown at this time. It is possible that they have a different function as those that can be encountered in Abyssal space or they are currently not active.

Further observation are needed.

Observations with regard to the clusters of structures that look similar to the rogue drone nursery
When following the rock formations in the site, 7 ‘tips or branches’ can be observed. At the end of these ‘tips or branches’ observers have found a cluster of rogue drone structures that look similar to the rogue drone nurseries that can be found in Pochven.

Their purpose has not yet been identified and further observations are needed.

Observations with regard to the capital or super capital sized rogue drone vessels
Observers initially found a few capital or super capital sized rogue drone vessel in the site. They were initially spotted in proximity to the tips or branches of the rock formations.
Recent observations have noticed that there are now capital or super capital sized rogue drone vessels throughout the rock formations.
Observers have been able to confirm that there are currently of 31 of these vessels present within the site.

Further observations are needed.

Observations with regard to the rogue drones that are to small for classification
The site is filled with uncountable numbers of rogue drones that are to small for classification. They do seem to follow specific routes when moving within or around the site. These rogue drones are not only to small for classification but also to small to examine through camera drones.

How to proceed
As mentioned before, there is not enough information available yet to draw any conclusions. ARC will therefore continue to observe and monitor the site and update this report when sufficient observations and data has been collected.

DutchGunner

An Interesting Report.

I find Something about the architecture of these structures to be Disturbing. They are Different to conventional Drone architecture in a way that makes me feel Uneasy. Although I am unable to Identify the exact Reason why this is the case.

Observers have been able to confirm the presence of 31 capital or super capital sized rogue drone vessels. They are present throughout the site and positioned between the rock formations.

The initial report has been updated with this information.

This truly doesn’t surprise me greatly. They are in their own central congregate point, they’d keep core units regularly in and out.

Quite interesting.

I wonder why a scorched earth policy has not been adopted in Pochven. It is apparent the Triglavians are using the people and resources of the place as a beachhead for further attacks in to real space. A problem that seems to have an elegant solution in the deployment of anti-matter warheads on the planets and orbitals of the region.

Seems a tad rude to suggest bombardment of planets where a combined many billions of baseliners are living with no control over what happens to their planets or suns

Well it seems the Triglavians are using those billions of people to increase their ranks through bio-adaptation or whatever. Without a method to reverse the process it seems prudent to me to deny them those assets for future attacks.

Sometimes you’ve got to lose some stock before you lose the whole inventory.

Given that the Triglav seem to be very content with the space they’ve claimed, and are definitely more focused on fortifying Pochven and “stabilizing the ancient domains”, which as far as we can tell is an effort to correct some of the anomalous spacetime perturbations in the cluster and more, consequences of the Seyllin Event and likely Caroline’s Star, I’d hesitate to call the wholesale murder of planets worth of Amarr, Caldari, Minmatar, and Gallente who they may add to their ranks “prudent”.

What’s more, we still know very little of the Drifters, or why they and the Triglavians are so opposed to/threatened by one another, so perhaps it’d be best to wait til we learn more about both sides of that conflict before killing 27 systems worth of baseliners based on worry alone, hm?

Hey, I just don’t want the Triglavians to win.

As far as I can tell, they don’t gamble, go to bordellos, or enjoy recreational narcotics so they’re probably bad for business if they start sucking up more territory into Pochven.

Oh, they definitely gamble. Gladiatorial games of skill, mostly, with elements of chance.

Not sure they use such things as bookies, though.

Triglavian proving looks like their method of regulating violence within their society. Whereas others might have culture, tradition, and laws to determine the use and levels of force among people in a state, Triglavians just shoot each other in the face.

Maybe. I do wonder how far the trials by combat go. I mean, what’s breakfast in a Triglavian creche like?

(Do they … have children, as such?)

They probably get asked what they want for breakfast then have to prove the superiority of their choice through trials of combat against the other kids.

This thread is supposed to be somewhat informative and reliant on empirical evidence.

Can you two go somewhere else to discuss your ludicrous fantasies instead of polluting this one?

If people don’t want discussion or rampant speculation, they could always publish in a research journal and not the IGS.

This is a discussion forum – I discuss.

Hello Miss Gesakaarin,

We publish here for information purposes, which is also the point of this particular forum, based on other historical posts.

In order to prevent crowding this post with tangential topics, if you’d like to have additional discussions about what should be done about the Triglavians, I would kindly ask you move it to another post. We would be happy to engage you further there.

Kind regards,

Following a scope news report another observation fleet entered Pochven to vist the VCASS and check if any changes could be observed. As details of the disruption are unknown, the fleet looked for the following:

  • Changes in rogue drone behaviour within the site;
  • Changes in what can be found within the site and in which numbers;
  • Any signs of damage to what can be found within the site;
  • Estimate the severity of any damage that might have been cause.

The fleet did not observe any changes or signs of damage and the report only mention repeatedly disruption of the complex. Considering the known weakness of rogue drones and broadcasting equipment to EM damage, it certainly raises a lot of questions. Hopefully some of these questions will be answered with future observations and/or when the the results of the raid by EDENCOM forces are made public.
