Glad you find the lore exciting! Rub 3 round rock that you found lying the ground together to make a warp drive.

As for lore, it still doesn’t affect gameplay no matter how much you want it to.

ok. This is a discussion about the lore in the game. So what is your point?
What was yours?

Are you new here? RP all you want. What effect did it ever have on the game? I’m not putting down RP, just asking?
No. I was talking about spinning rings in space to use centripetal force instead of gravity. Big difference. Things don’t move right in that environment.
And true gravity does exist. It’s been proven. Mass attracts mass. It’s what gravity does. Without gravity, the sun and planets and moons wouldn’t exist. We’ve seen these objects in space. They’re right here in this solar system.
But centripetal force is not gravity. It’s something else entirely which is why it doesn’t follow the rules of gravity.
I think we have come to an impasse. We have both made our arguments and at this point I do not see either of us agreeing with the other. I am willing to be a mature adult to agree to disagree.
Your entire argument was nothing more than, “Well, we can’t change it or make it so there’s no way to know if it exists”.
Well, we can simulate it. You can see gravity work between 2 very heavy metal balls suspended a few millimeters from each other. This has been witnessed and measured. It’s been done from many angles. It’s reproduceable.
Just because we can’t increase gravity without increasing mass doesn’t mean that mass doesn’t cause gravity. It may very well mean that mass is the ONLY thing that causes gravity. It’s not a rabbit hole. It’s actual observation. Mass causes gravity.
You don’t believe that the Earth is flat do you? I assure you that it’s not.
Edit: it was way more involved than I remembered, but I found the video.
Are there any known experiments that would indicate centripetal force could be used as an artificial gravity in space? I’m not familiar with it being proposed for such a use or how it would be achieved.
These videos are pretty informative. The first is really short, but interesting. There’s a lot of information in the second.
I am sure some people would say otherwise.
They should try making her their friend instead? ![]()
You can also tell missions haven’t been touched since Empyrean Age. Who jetcan mines nowadays?
If I am the only pilot on the belt and don’t want to go afk, I would jettison ore.
Oh that’s true, I forgot some miners have been naughty and aren’t allowed an orca to compress for them.
Aren’t allowed? What do you mean? You mean some people follow rules and laws? What a strange concept.
OK I tried . to clarify my position.. And again I did point out that this a rabbit hole. Am still willing to agree to disagree. But here: https://youtu.be/AB1S5cSWNmI?si=IwaVTfNG8_9ApAST
