Saying its niche is just a politically correct way to say its bad
Imo people who want the best for EVE should not rush to defend CCPs niche behavior and the niche state of the game but who knows.
No-one ??
You mean like this from 2009 ?..
" Eve online will always be a niche game.. "
For players trying to escape the daily realities of a credit-crunched world, online deception, treachery and outright theft of money and ships built from months or years of work is a poor alternative.
The author is not wrong and thats why among other things an area with no PVP is not a bad thing
Lol. Wants no PVP and then joins the most PvP active corp in highsec.
AO dont have any structure so cant be war decced. it circumvent the niche design and allows them to have a somewhat desirable high sec.
It’s not a bad strategy. It’s a really good one. If you can’t beat the bullies, join a bigger band of bullies and learn. It’s nothing to make fun of. It’s a smart move.
Wrong. AO has a lot of structures and they just won a war yesterday by destroying the attacker’s War HQ.
AW has no structures. Absolute Will. Absolute Order does.
I am a member of Absolute Order and we just destroyed the war hq yesterday of the group that declared war against us. We are still at war until the 24 hour period is over.
From our alliance mail.
So out of curiosity, what were the respective losses on each side?
I dont yet know. I had a very busy weekend since I was on call. I wasnt able to make any of the fleets.
Note Exifinex suggests in the mail you shared that people could switch corp to Absolute Order to avoid Wardecs
Cant wait for CCP to fix that btw. A corp with 5000 members should not be allowed to be safe in high sec. No-one should.
Apologies. Youre right. Im in Absolute Will.
In reality there’s permanently war eligible corps within the overall Absolute Order alliance, and those in turn have generally permanent members. I have two AO alts that rarely ever change corp. AO9, which is part of Wrecking Machine, is permanently war eligible for example.
So the idea that everyone is changing corp for every battle is somewhat of a myth. And those who do switch corp are not doing so to avoid wardecs…quite the reverse. They were never in a wardec corp in the first place, and they switch to one for the duration of the war.
I was being sarcastic, i am in favor of wardecs only being possible between alliances and corps that holds sov and that players in such corps and alliances gain an effect called “Sovereign” that increases damage and mining yield among other things
I’m with those who argue that any corp should be able to declare war, with or without a structure…but that there should be expensive consequences for doing so.
Wardecs without structures could be as simple as naming a system and an enemy corp for your war, paying Concord an exorbitant fee ( two or three billion ) and then you are free to shoot to your heart’s content within that system for 24 hours…but normal Concord rules apply outside of that one system.
