As an Intaki the current storyline is very annoying

From the standpoint of a developer, I don’t think they will just remove the Intaki Syndicate faction. They have never done that before, and it would be a mess for their database. What they have done is rebrand a faction. Interbus became Evermore.

I think that is what is going to happen to the Intaki Syndicate faction. It will be rebranded into something more palatable to be part of the Caldari state, and not a semi criminal organization. All of the standings and agents will stay the same, but the name and logo will change like EverMore.

Nah, it’s getting deleted at the end of the Caldari campaign, its constituent corps either going under the Fed on failure, or under the State on success.

While there is no precedent for outright deletions, there are factions that are hidden and do not get listed, like a mechanical one used to group the homefront factions together.

I’m talking game mechanics. Its much easier for them to just rename Intaki Syndicate faction to “Intaki MegaCorp *nice guys only*” then it is to shift the corporations into the state faction.

Not really. Plenty of corps belonging to the 4 empires were moved over to EverMore once it was created. My guess is that, mechanically, Intaki Bank and Intaki Commerce (and possibly Intaki Space Police) are getting ported, and the old Faction, alongside its corporate equivalent, will just get delisted.

But they litteraly have to do a rebranding, there is an Intaki Syndicate corporation as well as the faction. The Intaki Syndicate corporation controls the majority of the stations in the Syndicate faction. They can’t just shift those over to the Caldari State without renaming them, and they can’t delete a bunch of NPC stations that would piss off people even more than losing their hard grinded Syndicate standings :frowning:

They will also have to rework the plot and two potential endings for the Gallente Epic Arc “Syndication”.

Not really. Missions are quite notoriously out of date across the board lol, theres missions whose narrative is reliant on pre-FW politics even.

They arent reworking anything :stuck_out_tongue:

This is funny

This isn’t just a few details or wording in a mission description that might seem dated now.

The arc makes consistent references to the Intaki Syndicate as an entity throughout, with a choice at the end that has standings, LP and ingame item consequences.

This entire situation, the removal of an entire faction, isn’t insignificant, and FC have clearly invested some time and effort into this. We have details on what happens to LP and the member NPCs, and we have something of a narrative explanation.

The Gallente Epic Arc forms part of that narrative and I can’t see FC consciously ticking off each of the boxes one by one in the build up to this and leaving the whole thing incomplete.

In fact… I recall a conversation with FC Diegetic at Fanfest in which he suggested the overall storyline surrounding Silphy and the Syndicate wasn’t done yet, so maybe what’s left of the Intaki Syndicate (corp not faction) will evolve into something else, or merge with another grouping in the same way Upwell and Evermore reorganised other NPCs.

On reflection this is likely to be something we’re only going to be able to judge with hindsight Right now though, it looks like few people who are invested for one reason or another are enjoying the ride.

From a RP and a mechanical perspective I want that Caldari campaign to win. Adding Caldari blueprints to the Syndicate LP store would be amazing. I want a new stargate to my region.

They just need to frame it slightly differently. And I think they are not dumb, there is going to be some kind of twist soon in this storyline that makes me love everything thats happening Im sure.

From Renilia’s post with the screenshot above, it’s the opposite.

Caldari content isn’t being added to the Syndicate LP stores, Syndicate LP rewards are being added to either GalMil or CalMil LP stores, which means you’ll have to enlist in FW to access them.

The syndicate corporations would become part of the Caldari State, and Caldari State corp LP stores have Caldari blueprints

Does the Gallente militia have any say about that? A part from FW objectives, if the campaign could be completed via high sec farming, that would pretty much ensure one Militia has a very big LP store with actual good “pirate” modules.

The gallente will largely be focused on Rogue Edge as it has some fairly decent additions to their lo stores as well

As a rule currently none of the objectives are actually contestable at scale

“The Intaki are one of the largest ethnicities of the Federation.” You turned against your heritage and joined the Caldari. That’s why you are a traitor. Turn back into the Federation fold, and fight against the Caldari who clearly don’t care about you when it suits them.

The Syndicate leadership is shattered, but massive organizations don’t just dissolve. Make a New Syndicate and move forwards with new goals and new lore. You’re practically being given a chance to write your way forwards, of CCP are receptive to these things. And it seems like they might be.

excuse me? my people were EXILED for disagreeing with the genocidal bombardment of Caldari Prime. Intaki Prime is currently under military occupation by the same monsters which did that to the Caldari, and they would not hesitate to do it again if the Intaki dare to try independence!

I’m not super impressed with the Caldari right now either, this is an over reaction but it has no yet gone to the point where it can not be reversed. The Caldari have been loyal allies of the Intaki for hundreds of years. But if they don’t clean up their attitude, and make incorporating Syndicate into a protectorate and not an annexation then I am done with them too!

I will join the holy Amarr empire for lower taxes and the hope that both of these corrupt empires are reclaimed IN THE NAME OF GOD!

I agree, storyline feels one sided and nothing looks like its really happening in Syndicate. Weren’t even given a chance to fight back..
'Course i’ve not really lived there for about 8 years but the story got me flying around there again, for a short time.
