Asset Safetry

Then you will have competition…and conflict…yay!

As much as the notifications inform the Capsuleers on what to watch out for and when. These same notifications may do more harm than good.

Miners never receive so called Notifications of when a baddie is in system. It is up to the Miner to be alert to the dangers.

Now same rule should go to pilots who decide to take the risk of docking their ship inside another corps station and leaving it there.

Who is more important? The miner who is about to lose their Orca or the Pilot who docked and had forgotten about theirs?

If this was the first time that highsec ganking could take place, in the history of Eve, then yeah, in-game notifications would be in order.

CCP is shutting off asset safety, in a way. Lots of uninformed players are going to be pissed.

You just make things sound so perfect, thank you clearing my concerns over asset safety.

Except if their SecStatus causes them to have an icon…or if the miner has tagged all the big ganking corps…warnings are then automatic…

The player regardless of the title you want to assign…

Unless CCP implemented a system that let you see every station that you have stuff in’s status from anywhere in NE, a warning is needed…at least for the initial phase…maybe in 3-6 months that can be removed but for now, as Xeux put it, there are going to be a lot of PO’ed players eve WITH notifications…

The purpose of the patch is to help address “POS Pollution”. In this specific regard, the best way to prevent wardecs is to fuel your POSes. A single fuel cycle once every 6 days and 23 hours will keep your POS from entering abandoned state. Not terribly expensive to do so. If you can’t keep it fueled, you have no business fielding it to begin with.

As much as my concerns had been answered @ Xeux
New Eden seems to be turning into a Nanny State.

I field mine to keep the NPCs out

I know you mean fielding as in deploying right?

Yes, the upcoming slaughter of hundreds of stations is quite the sign of a Nanny State…

The slaughter of hundreds of stations would be considered normal New Eden game play, that is normal how Corps decide to Wardec other Corps.

CCP didn’t allow asset safety in wormholes. Now…not only are they making asset safety unreliable in nullsec, they are even making the highsec carebear citadels vulnerable. If that doesn’t give you hope then maybe this will: CCP has introduced a mechanism to grind down systems from highsec to lowsec.

If we leave our car on the street long enough, it is going to get towed, best way to deal with an unused asset is to sell it.

Same can apply to Eve.

Yes…that doesn’t mean the towing agency opens your car and give all your stuff away to random people.

Nobody here is crying for the stations…it’s the gear from randoms that is the concern.

When you get your car towed, you can pay to get it back (just like you can pay a fee to get stuff out of asset safety).

Analogy does not apply.

:point_up_2:

No, they steal it for themselves.

The message I read is very clear, ie; If randoms leave their stuff if the trunks of other peoples cars, they deserve to lose their stuff.

Stop leaving your junk in other peoples trunks! Got it?

There’s a reason why every corporation/alliance which uses capitals in K-Space makes JDC V mandatory in order to participate in capital operations.

Heres a different view.

I paid for an office for a month to store my stuff.

I should damn well get notified not only if the office closes, but that its at risk of demolition.

Well that is a fair point, if someone rents a corp office then they should have their office space moved to asset safety.

Only office space items should go to safety.

We arent talking about safety though, we are talking about it being destroyed as a result of a wardec on an unpowered station.

Previously, all items went to safety.

This meant that, as in your example, people could easily be

without worry as it would asset.

Now you get a note telling you to asset safety it or eventually risk losing it, so go get it.

That is the new message now, I was referring towards the message being sent.

The old method looks to have changed, even though that comment you made regarding the Corp Office space. It really just sends a message now though don’t leave items where you might lose them.

Either place into your own where you can control and we already receive reports on which station is being attacked. Place it in NPC stations, Staging areas are way over my head to comment and don’t wish the message about “junk in the trunk” to be directed at them.
