I am a noob who never got far in eve, and I took a break from the game somewhere around a year ago. After re-installing the launcher and trying some missions, I found excessive lag and stutter when loading in, docking, undocking, warping, using warpgates. Its really hard to immerse in the game with the sound constantly cutting out, and even dangerous with the game sometimes completely freezing for up to 10 seconds when entering a mission zone. I have great hardware, and run many other resource-heavy games without problem, as well as eve itself a while ago. What could be the cause of this?
