August Destroyer 1v1 filaments still gathering dust

Back in August there was a 1v1 destroyer proving ground event that turned out to be bugged and was cancelled. It was supposed to ge rescheduled to the next weekend, and we were told to hang onto the filaments for it. But the new event never materialized.

Now there’s another destroyer proving ground (although 4-ship FFA, not 1v1), but apparently still nothing happening with the filaments from the August event.

Are those filaments going to be useable ever again, or should I just write them off as a loss and delete them from cluttering my hangars?

You might have missed it, but the Destroyer 1v1 took place on the last weekend of August.
