Auto station ship spinning

I don’t care why you play at 1280x800, if you tell me that you don’t experience it at that resolution, it is enough for me to know.
I also don’t care that you never dock up for a long time and therefore are not disturbed by the effect.

I just wonder why you feel the need to go against people on a topic that they are having difficulties with and you don’t.

You may be right.

I enabled dynamic camera movement and a whole lot of other things and I cannot seem to turn auto station ship spinning on.

How long do I have to be AFK before my ship starts to spin?

I guess i give up with correcting the AFK/idle thing…maybe it was intentional?

It did for me. I disabled it, exited the client, logged back in, and I sat idle in station for about five minutes. Auto-rotation didn’t start. To test, I even undocked and redocked, waited another five minutes. Still no auto-rotation.

I’ll call this a fix. I might miss some of the other auto camera movement, but I suppose I can live without that stuff if it means not getting dizzy when in station.

I have an OLED screen. A static image for a long time while I’m Bio’ing or whatever is not good for the screen; the slow rotating reduces burn in, so I do actually have a stake in this but you go ahead and assume things again sure.

Now all we need for burn in to be avoided is to have the UI also wobble while you go AFK!

:face_exhaling:
Again: Toggling dynamic camera movement takes effect only after the next docking or relog.

And the whole thing is not related to AFK or not AFK…it just starts spinning if you have not clicked on the background for 60 seconds. If you work on the fitting or market or other windows in the foreground it starts nevertheless.

A comfy way to do it would be

if no mouse movement for more than X seconds, lerp UI alpha from 1 to 0 over the course of Y seconds

If mouse moved set UI alpha to 1

no need to wobble it then
