As a player who enjoys the personalisation and immersive elements of the game
I’m not sure if this is a big ask or a quick fix
Is there any chance that the word count for the Bio could be increased
I’d love to be able to write a short story of vignette and share on my Bio, but with the cap at 2500 characters limits the immersion I want to bring
Could this please be increased?
Not sure if this is possible or if others have asked

I have to disagree with Epiphany Blacque. Overly long Bios kill my immersion. People tend to start putting in ASCII art, novels, advertisements and other nonsense.
Please limit bios to 450 characters max.
Maybe you could grab attention with your bio within the character limit and end with a link to the forum for the rest of the story?
I haven’t seen many interesting bios, but I’d rather read a short story than a long one to be honest.
You do realize that if someone wants to add the things that offend you so they already can, yes? What harm would a few more characters do?

all joking aside, i think honestly the only thing i used my bio for is the resists of NPC’s.. which i probably need to update.

See it as a challenge to fit your bio within the character count you’re given! I think mine just fits.
It not only makes your bio quicker to read, it also stops unintended uses of the bio to not have it too long.
Unintended uses? In the forum links below there are two other requests for bio count increases. One wishes to expand their ‘ingame wiki’ they’ve written in their bio, and the other feels restricted in their ability to advertise abyssal modules with such few characters.
Isn’t anyone using their bio tab for a character bio anymore?
All I see are resistance reminders (that players could just as well put in their notes) or scams that bypass the chat filter (look at my bio!)
I do not think increasing bio count improves the quality and amount of real character bios.
If anything it would enable more unintended uses of the bio tab, and would make me inclined not to read real bios when they are too long.
I really wonder why people don’t write their short stories to the forums or open a blog somewhere and put it there and just have a link in their Bio.
Or in case of a short story maybe also the beginning of if and then the link.
We already have a section for this in the forums afterall.
I normally write a bit of a back story for my EVE characters so I kinda like the bio’s character count being at least as long as it currently is.
To be honest, ideally, I’d like a longer count really so that I could also include hyper links and in-game chat channel links that others might find helpful. An important point here is that, if you do include links, a fair amount of the character count in the bio gets used up on invisible/HTML text, so a longer character count isn’t necessarily a pass to write massive rambling bios.
Based on this and for consistencies sake, might I suggest that the bio character count should either be 4,000 or 8,000 charaters in total?
