Bumping to keep this alive! It’s spreading.
It’s less a BSOD and more of a “Client freezes for 60 seconds, then resets itself.”

I have the same problems and unfortunately a reset is no longer possible. And the version is no longer available from microsoft. I don’t want to fall back on cracked versions
There is an option to download previous windows version. I did it and it worked perfectly fine. As long as you own a windows license, then it is not a problem but solution for a microsoft problem. I just don’t know, if I am allowed to link the website here.
Is it fixed yet?
Hey, i have/had the same problem. I installed the preview update KB5050094 and so far i had no freezes/bugchecks anymore (2 days). Need to wait a bit longer but at least a try
nope, just had another freeze up
3 lockups today
I have the exact same issue running 5 clients, replaced gpu and psu before finding this thread…
This crashed me out so hard, I had to update to windows 11, flash my bios, and a bunch of other silly stuff
got same problems… at first eve frooze random and gave me a event with ssd writing rights. after i fixed that with new firmware now eve freezes with a nvidia event. mostly when i close my second account. and its only eve anything else runs perfekt pc is clean silent and cool asf.
Bump to see if there’s any other solutions aside from rolling back versions of windows, as myself and several corpies are seeing the same issue.
Put in a second SSD with an earlier version of windows 11 or use windows 10 or linux. I know, nothing that you want to hear, but you asked…
I’ve run on linux before and tried for a long time to make it work, but there was definitely a memory leak in lutris that I couldn’t resolve across several different distros, sadly. But yeah, either way it’s looking like a fresh install of 23H2 is in my very near future.
Same issues here. Ever since 24h2
Is there any update on this?
Keeping thread active as I am also getting this exact same issue with Windows 24h2.
I’ve spent time testing multiple applications. Essentially after some time in-game clients. PC will hitch/stutter and acts like the memory/CPU gets eaten up.
Mouse is responsive, but CPU doesn’t take any Inputs or commands, you cannot Control+alt+Delete. You cannot Alt-Tab or change windows or tasks etc.
This takes place running x4 .exe clients on LOW shader settings on all clients.
These crashes in-particular are very dangerous because the game doesn’t consider them a “disconnect” your ship will sit in space for quite some time before you ever warp off.
I get client instability on both DirectX11 and DirectX 12.
PC Hardware:
AMD Ryzen 5 5600x @ 4.6ghz stock, but on water.
3200mhz @32gbs ram
Storage that the game is on is SSD Samsung (Tested storage modules and ram as of March) I have mixed bag of storage brands.
4070 super
All other games in large array, run great that I have tested.
Games i’ve tested to try to recreate this issue. But have had no crashes take place.
Warhammer: Darktide
Warhammer: Space Marine 2
Forza 5
World of Warships
War Thunder
Aliens: Fireteam Elite
Elite Dangerous
No Man’s Sky
Baldurs Gate 3
Dead By Daylight
Cyberpunk 2077
Doom series 1 & 2 as well as Dooms 2016 and Dooms Eternal.
Fallout 4
Fallout 76
Helldivers 2.
I have also bench tested my rig using 3D Mark Testing software and all checkmarks come back green for GO. No idea what is causing this issue within windows and EVE client, but it really needs to be fixed.
Same issues since 24h2. Two variants of em - either ram leaks on exactly one window, or bsod as described before. Managed to switch from BSODing to ram leaks with dx11. But it’s still pretty much unplayable after some time and dock/undocking or passing through gates. Only relaunch fixes problem.
Same thing still happens to me. Is there a fix for it yet? Keeping thread open here.
Multiboxing eight accounts and having constant hangs followed by crashes. On a good night I can get maybe an hour or so of stable usage before a lock up or BSOD. Some crashes don’t cause a BSOD, but require a forced shutdown to regain control of the system. I am also running a fresh Windows 11 Pro 24H2 build.
Same issues on my end.
EVE only works in 23H2.
I will not update until EVE confirms they have fixed the issue
