I recently purchased a new Msi laptop with this spec:
AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS 5,2Ghz
32 GB DDR5-5600
RTX4070 Mobile
SSD 1TB Gen4
I’ve played other AAA games from 2023-2024 and haven’t had any performance issues, crashes, or freezes. However, when I play Eve Online multiboxing 5 accounts (with all graphics and settings at minimum on all clients), randomly (it could be in 45 minutes or four hours of gameplay), the PC freezes and I need to restart it because it doesn’t respond.
Before getting this PC, I had an older computer with i7 9700 16Gb Ram and rtx2060 and i was multiboxing 6 account and never my pc freezes or crashes
I try this and no fix ;
-Dx11(actually use it and better than 12)
-Dx12
-Chksdk
-sfc/ scannow
-Disable acceleration hardware
-Game mode windows off
-Update drivers / Windows 11 Pro / Bios
Im desperate and dont understand what its the problem im posting on Msi forums too for another posible solution but the only game or program i have this experience is with eve online but its the only i multiboxing
I reviewed it and what I see is that it might be a problem with the latest generation AMD processors. In my case, the big changes between the computers are the OS from Windows 10 on the old one to Windows 11 on the new one and the processor from Intel to AMD , i hope any ccp helps thanks so much guys !
Unfortunately, I also have the problem that EVE simply freezes. The CPU is an AMD 9800x3d with a 4080 Super. I hope a solution can be found. My system is new I never had problems before
The error is only with EVE all other games run perfectly.
I have tried dx 11 and dx 12, always the same.
Reinstalling the driver does not help either.
Did the issues only start recently? As in Novemeber/December?
The Easy AntiCheat “Tool” that is deployed by Eve Vanguard and other games, and loaded automatically on system startup before you even login, does not properly work with Windows 11 24H2 and will interfere with PCI Express communication, causing either the PCI devices or the driver software to go haywire. Microsoft has put up an advert against EAC here.
While the windows update tool has since been patched to no longer automatically update affected systems to 24h2, the incompatibility was only discovered after quite a number of deployments had already updated. I had random freezes and crashes with all kind of odd PCI communication issues in the windows event log, as well as the graphics card simply shutting down during operation, and reinstalling windows to get 23h2 again fixed it over here.
My guess is that it is the Nvidea driver 566.36. I have installed an AMD 7900 xtx to test the error has not reappeared. I changed back to due 4080s and used an older driver 566.14 the error has not occurred again. I think it is the driver 566.36
I dont know if the problem is recent or not becouse i buy the pc this month and with my old pc i never have problems with 6 account multiboxing
i will search more info and if i see its the only way i will down my windows11 to 23h2
Riker Taredi i wait for read if you fix them with the nvidia drivers
Thanks to all & best regards !!!
WTF unfortunately it’s happened again. The system has frozen again. Now I don’t know what to do. My system is also brand new and I have never had such problems. It’s only with EVE Online. All other games work perfectly
I’ve had a couple of long sessions without any problems. There are two changes in my setup and I don’t know which one is responsible for the improvement, but I’ll tell you here so you can test and hopefully solve the problem.
I always play on an external monitor to my laptop, but these days I’m playing on the laptop without an external monitor.
I found in the Windows configuration an option that may be the real solution. In Windows 11, under System/Screen/Graphics optimization for games in window, it was deactivated. I activated it (I always play Eve with the 5 clients in window, never in full screen).
I hope this helps! In a few days, I will reconnect the external screen and comment if the problem is solved or if the error happens again. Cheers!
(extra info i always update all my drivers and apps for sure i updated gpu drivers 2 days ago and some programs on this days i dont think that was the problem but idk)
