Dear EVE Online players,

We appreciate your enthusiasm for our Buddy Program; after all, it is a great way to invite fellow gamers to try EVE Online and we would like to encourage everyone to keep doing so. However, in order to keep the clutter on the forums to a minimum ,and to give everyone a fair opportunity to invite new players to the game, we would like to institute the following ground rules for advertising 30-day Buddy Program invites in the New Citizens Q&A forum section.

  • Offers to send a 30-day Buddy Program trial invite are allowed only in this forum thread. All other threads will be considered advertising and locked.

  • Absolutely no discussions of the offers made by other players are allowed.

  • The players receiving the invites may post confirmations and/or ask questions about the offer; all other posts will be considered off topic and removed. Please also note that using alts to falsify your offer is considered scamming and will be removed with a possible warning, forum ban or removal from participation in this thread.

  • Any forms of scamming are prohibited and will be dealt with by EVE Online customer support. These are transactions which affect new subscriptions and scamming may result in action being taken on your account.

  • Off topic, Spam and flame wars regarding this offer will not be tolerated. You may not use someone elses guides or services and offer them as your own under any circumstances. You may not engage in a reporting war, using the report function, to complain about your competitors. Community will remove offers from those we feel are disruptive and problematic and will do so with no negotiation and no petition on the matter. CCP has nerfed the buddy system again, and thus the rewards I can pass on to you are lower.

Sorry Folks, CCP broke the recruitment program and there is no way for me to see when anyone that joined with my link prior to June 9th goes Omega because all of those records have been deleted. A little confused by the offers… I’m looking to go Omega figured I might be able to help out a vet this way. Hit me up on evemail if you’re wanting to do the buddy program. Like I said, not exactly sure how it works, and I’m also looking for people I can hit up with questions/learn from too, so def hit me up. Hope I’m doing this right, lol!

Well, the program is designed to help vets, but the offers here are meant to help the new Omegas instead. It works great, I’ve still got most of my plex I’ve received from Elizabeth Norn.

If you think you should try, don’t hesitate, you are skilling much faster as Omega, but you start a complete new character. I bought 3 months (worth a normal video game extension like StarCraft II) to find out if it’s worth. After that you definitely know how to carry on.

A word of warning to new players looking to use the buddy invites. Take your time to really read what people are offering. I did not and so ended up receiving nothing in return.

I am not mentioning any names, because I can’t really blame anyone but myself, but if I got to do it over again, I’d probably choose Elizabeth Norn, because the 500 Plex she sends back buys you a free month of playtime. That is the advice I want to give to other new players. I wish you better luck than me.

P.S. If anyone doubts I am really a new player, I welcome the moderators checking my account. I am new and the only person playing from this IP.
