I use ECM drones but burst jammers as I am sure you know are way more effective at closer ranges plus they can’t be destroyed like drones can. There were many instances where I escaped from multiple gankers because of the burst jammer and ECM drones. There’s no good reason why barges and exhumers can’t use burst jammers.
And? It also can’t be fitted to any frigates, destroyers, cruisers, or battlecruisers that aren’t command ships. So, why should mining ships get a pass?
Why do haulers get a pass? If haulers can use them so should mining barges/exhumers. Do you know why they were removed? It’s because ■■■■ fit frigates were booshing fleets. Mining barges and exhumers are way too slow for that.
Because those ships, with the exception of maybe one, can’t use ECM drones, or any drones at all…
Another example of modules being limited to certain ship types is the Avalanche. Every ship in the game with a high slot and enough CPU can fit a cloak, with the sole exception of the Avalanche. As with anything else, I’m sure they had a reason.
Why are you so against burst jammers? Is it because you want miners to be easier prey?
I’ve already told you how to escape instantly from anyone while mining. It’s not my fault if you don’t want to use that method. I’m not the one that removed the ability for them to use burst jammers…

So you’re arguing that the best jammer should not be able to be fitted to mining ships bigger than frigates? Why not just increase the requirements to fit burst jammers so only bigger ships can effectively fit them?
The Venture, Endurance, and Prospect can’t fit it either…

It is already limited to fitting on haulers and certain combat ships. Combat ships other than battleships or command battlecruisers can’t even fit it, so again, why should they make an exception for mining ships?
Because - the only reason they removed them from most ship classes was because of booshing as I am sure you are aware. This is the only reason. Slow ships can’t boosh like small nimble frigates can. So any ship bigger than a destroyer should be able to fit a burst jammer.
Well, that counts out more than just mining barges. Cruisers, T3C’s, and all non-command battlecruisers can’t fit it either.
Ah yes, which is why burst jammers were removed from only the ship classes that could boosh. 
I’m fairly sure there were more reasons than booshing to remove burst jammers from ships.
Burst jammers have always been problematic on smaller ships. First they were nerfed by disabling nullification while burst jammers were fit, but that wasn’t enough so now they’ve always been removed from all but the large subcapital ships. Saying “but this ship cannot even boosh” is a bit strange when booshing itself clearly isn’t the only reason for burst jammers to be removed; CCP clearly intends burst jammers to be for bigger ships now, and haulers.
Thats mean that they cant stay AFK 
The burst jammer was nurfed because nulsec groups were complaining about waves of interceptors flying around logi burst jamming them. CCP ignores problems when anyone else complains but once it’s a problem for nulsec people they do something about it.
Maybe CCP values the health of EVE’s signature large fleet fights more than they value a tool for AFK miners?
