Can scanning should not be allowed in sites

what?

Their astero is going to kill your bomber?

You are either mad, or bad.

Highly doubtful that’s the case…

The more believable scenario is that somebody is quickly running a dedicated route within that general area who quickly scans systems just for Hacking sites… When a Hacking site is found, then quickly scans the cans and only takes the best loot… May even have a couple of other dedicated routes set up nearby…

Basically it’s a min/max player doing hit and run tactic’s, spending minimal time for maximum loot gain…

Yeah right, a much more believable scenario is that a null sec player is using filaments to jump into high sec so they can cherry pick through worthless high sec hacking sites when null sec hacking sites have a lot more valuable loot in them…

You’re just another one of those “I’m going to do personal attacks on those who disagree with my viewpoint” that post here in the forums way too often…

Have a nice day…

Where do you think needlejacks go?

Heh, enough with the trolling… Do you actually believe the scenario you’re trying to push here?

Have a nice day…

I suppose he expects them to hack the cans containing only garbage!

Needlejacks go to null sec. If you’re a day tripper/non-null resident, you can undock from Jita in your exploration ship, pop a needlejack, poke around wherever you land, cherry pick whatever’s good, and then pop another one and just do it somewhere else. Whatever damage you may be doing to the local respawn is largely someone else’s problem. Similarly, if you see a bunch of cherry picked sites in an area, you can just wait out your cooldown and try another spot. When you’re done, you pop a Perun and Pochven home.

Nobody said anything about null seccers going to high sec.

Filaments are insane, btw, and if you’re not using them you should be. Someone should do a PSA about these things to go with the “You should roll your T2 mods with cheap mutas” PSA that also needs to be made.

FFS, this is starting to get as bad as the AFK cloaking threads…

It appears a part of the conflict is caused by different perspectives.

Not everyone here has the same experience.

Null sec exploration in home regions faces cherry pickers often, but also allows you to reship and kill cherry pickers.

And within sov null ‘detected’ sites have the advantage that even a hslf-cleared site can still be cleared for chance of an escalation.

Null sec exploration in hostile space allows you to quickly go through sites in a region by cherry picking to reduce exposure in sites, and filamenting away to the next region when one is bad.

Low sec exploration I haven’t done much but I guess is similar.

Wormhole exploration has no concept of connected regions, has no local to tell if someone is in the site with you and thus has an even stronger incentive to scan cans.

And then there is high sec exploration where rewards are bad, competition is bad, the ability to teleport to another region is bad and your ability to kill a competent competing explorer also is nonexistent as CONCORD protects the cherry pickers like it protects your ship too. I would tell newbies to leave that part of space soon and try filaments to explore instead.

Can’t you ram into the target ship thus bumping it to prolong its align and decloak you at the same time so the delay timer starts counting down as well plus start spamming lock on the target to maximize your chances?

the irony of these players doing sites is… the site wont despawn and will not respawn anywhere else.. so they end up doing less

You can, can should bump tackle when you can, but dual scram bomber is still the best way to ensure you catch all those pesky explorers.

Bro, they are never alone.

Then best bring some friends too.

Cloaked ships don’t have that much of a velocity to them to effectively bump anybody. But then again, I haven’t tried, so maybe in some circumstances it would work.

I can confirm it does work, if you get it right.
