I am not, either manipulate the loot tables, nuke data sites and make their contents appear in relic sites or add npc buy orders to have a floor. There is no reason for them to be this crappy in 0.0.
They also drop loot for capital construction (although rarely). This is also an option - move more capital building stuff into data sites. And maybe add some faction-specific items for faction ships construction too.
The data site money is in escalations. You have to do all three containers to get an escalation. In these escalations you’ll either get a triglavian one for around 50m worth of stuff of you’ll get a site that will probably have a augmented drone bpc. A 120 run bpc can be worth way over a bil.
Cherry picking data sites will never make much money, plus it ruins it for other players. Instead of getting a little money with a possible escalation, they get absolute ■■■■ for anything thats not an escalation. Just sayin… Judging by the fact you’ve never made more than 20m off a data site, you’re scanning with a cargo scanner and just doing the container with the best loot. Cut it out. You are screwing yourself and everyone else.
You also leave a data site that won’t disappear which keeps a new data site from spawning. Here’s an example of you get from data site escalations:
Integrated bpcs from normal data sites are next to worthless. Augmented can be extremely valuable.
You can think of combat anoms and data sites has having about the same probability of some type of escalation.
