CCP... About FW, way passed the time you overhauled it?

If to dive deeper into this space area, the 10M ISK frigate is a rough concept. There are cheaper frigate fits, but they are very ineffective for most pilots, which don’t know when and how to use them. Skilled pilots are building very interesting FW frigate/destroyer cheap fits. They try to save ISK on anything they don’t really need, like they’ll never use the Microprocessor Unit II if their ship CPU grants a surplus of 0.1 CPU with any T1 MU. If to destroy a Tormentor or Merlin they’ll need 120dps, then they’ll not use more expensive fits to gain 155dps, for example. Other dps, tank, ftting requirements they’ll cover with level V skills and specified set of implants.

A 10M ISK frigate can be built with mixed T1/T2 modules. For other pilots or Alpha clones the full set of T2 items is required for good performance. A T1 frigate with T2 modules and respective ammo will cost from 13 to 15M ISK. Faction frigates, with T2 modules, will cost near 21-25M ISK.

it would also be preferable if militias not related to either war zone would not be rewarded with the same amount of LP when they farm plexes (for example Cal farming Min systems), and a complete overhaul to the Faction Warfare menu; both in terms of aesthetics and proportions and much needed functionality.

one thing that will go a long way is having information about the corporations and alliances that make up the militia (make this only give information to a character that is in the relevant militia, for lore purposes more than spy deterrence). another thing is to even have a corporate recruitment board exclusive to each militia. and last but not least is leadership.

FW has failed in every iteration.

Its just farming.

People apparently dont want to fight.
Just farm.

They did overhaul it relatively recently.

The problem with FW will always be the depth of commitment. Hell it takes up an Employment History slot each time you get the itch…

It should be an on/off switch with at most a 1hr cooldown that has nothing to do with Employment History. It shouldn’t require full-time commitment through the next downtime, but can still allow it for those wanting to.

It’s too much of an in-the-middle play-style to require full-investment.

as a caldari FW pilot can i just take a moment of joy in a minmatar complaining about what they have been doing constantly to the caldari every time they wipe the floor with the amarr.

i mean c’mon this is the first time i can remember the caldari making past T3 w/o some civil war or other internal drama ensuring we drop bac to t1

if anything the problem is the lack of commitment that lets people just hope to what ever group has the best lp

This is typical of FW style systems, and has been observed in many other MMOs.

People swap sides and just start farming off the other end.

People that waste time making isk in fw plexes, and elsewhere (mining etc), are doing it wrong.

Smart thing to do:

  1. Get in good alliance with a good peacetime ship reimbursement program (promoting people to play solo and small gang, to actually become skilled instead of like the other 99% of useless eve capsuleers that can only ctrl-click).
  2. Make a profit by losing ships through good ship reimbursement and by destroying enemy ships - taking loot.

Oh, anyone not in such an alliance, tough luck, you’re just wasting time.
Oh, what kind of alliance to join? Do some homework.

Hint Hint: There are even corps with ship reimbursement, so you make money (minimize loss or already make profit with ship/module losses) there, plus also within the alliance !!! Now look at that !

Ideal Scenario:

Ship Loss Corp Reimbursement : Profit
+
Ship Loss Alliance Reimbursement: Profit again
+
Loot of enemy ships (whatever fills your pvp ship’s cargohold)

= YOU ARE DOING IT RIGHT !

I really do not understand most of the people in here regarding how they have patience to make isk in the most boring ways possible…

Problem is that with current mechanics you cant prevent player from getting alts in all factions to farm LP.
Even loyality like In MWO wont solve this problem

Because that may be what they enjoy. If they prioritize what is enjoyable over an endless grind for ISK, they are doing it right.

Could always add loyalty bonuses based on rank as well as fw level. Making it so that a high rank gets more lp at lvl 1 than no rank at level 3. Then add a decay to rank that gets stronger as you rank up. That should limit flip flipping and make it hard to maintain alts in each faction
